  Hi I have a Ford Fusion automatic 04 plate, I have had it since march this year. The problem I have with it is that when Im driving it just cuts out, sometimes im doing speeds of 30mph sometimes im doing 60mph, I will be driving along and it suddenly cuts out and jolts to a stop nearly causing a crash.

  i bought a ford fusion 1.4 tdci on friday and all was ok until it refused to start. the aa came pumped the diesel pump and the car roared into life. the aa man advised that there was air in the line and to run the car.

  So last Monday i took the car to local Ford main dealer. I explained the symptoms and they kept the car in for 2 days. I got a phone call sayig that everything is fixed. I picked the car up on wednesday but nothing has changed - the car is still exactley the same.

  I told them that it's because the car designers would have assumed every car would be sold with central locking and it's their fault for being Luddites, but mum said that the Ford chap had told her that quite a few customers have mentioned this.   I confirmed it was the air conditioning as when I turned it off, the groaning stopped. I returned the car to the Ford dealer for them to diagnose the problem. They came back and said that the compressor and clutch assembly needs replacing at a total cost of £950. I was quite shocked as you can imagine at the cost, and obviously did not get the work done.

  I'm hoping that the Mondeo Mk3 (which according to this site ran from 2000 to 2007 got better as time went on??? I'm looking at an 06 plate 2.0 130bhp TDCI with 45k, and a full ford history. Can anyone advise of things I should ask about, look for under the hood, or look for while road testing that would reveal a lemon? Or have the DMF, and injecgtor/fuel problems largely been fixed on the 06 plates?

  hi people, im new to this site, and have a slight problem. Two months ago i bought a ford fiesta 03 plate, with 30,000 on the clock, after a few weeks i noticed a sound coming from the engine that sounded like there was a horse around my car, at first it was really quiet and not really noticable, but then it got progressivly louder.
