Hi there guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding what could possibly be wrong with my car... a few days ago, on my short drive to work, the engine started making some strange noises. Nothing too loud or severe, but noticeable. I continued to work, and turned off the engine. The car would then not restart at all. -
What's with these traffic lights? 23 Oct 2009 (Forum)
The picture shows the junction and I have circled the lights. In the picture I would have been the white car in the centre, waiting behind the silver car that is turning right. http://www.flickr.com/photos/43786777@N06/4035047389/sizes/l/in/set-72157622517247333/ The photo below shows more of the junction: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43786777@N06/4035046587/sizes/l/in/set-72157622517247333/ The problem was that the lights I have circled were not showing any lights (I don't know if the green was switched off or whether it was completely covered by the "blind" over it). -

Positive (only) aspects of UK motoring 16 Feb 2010 (Forum)
You can see where Heath and Safety regulations come from when you consider that, as it was the same here a few decades back and car manufacturers thought nothing of harm to drivers or others in car design. Traffic just chokes the streets in Tacloban and it`s a free for all. It`s pretty good, motoring in the UK - although the `negative feeding` personalities of many people cause the generation of tabloid rubbish that is eagerly lapped up as `truth` The question is - can a 100 post thread be generated that`s entirely positive about UK motoring? -
Volvo V70/XC70 (2000 - 2007) - 02 2.5 Failed pulley wheel & cracked engine casing 23 Jul 2009 (Forum)
No doubt the replacement engine that is looming will cost more than the value of the car, but I cannot afford a new car and bought this one to last me 10 years plus. Its is imaculate and dealer serviced with 126,000 on the clock and nothing else wrong with it. Where do I stand legally? -
Emergency kit in the boot 24 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Time to revise what I carry in the boot! What would you suggest is reasonable to carry? The subject has been covered before but it finished up needing a trailer to carry the suggested kit. So lets start from basics. What can go wrong and what do you need to do something about it or fix it? What can happen to the car that YOU can do something about? -
Golf Mk2 GTI - Forcibly expelled coolant 24 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Hi all I've mentioned this problem on another thread, but it probably warrants being covered seperately. Vauxhall Vectra C (2002 - 2008) - Car seats - not what they used to be... 15 Jul 2008 (Forum)
He went on to explain that his friend works for a company supplying equipment to J-----n C-----s that make car seats (and other items for cars) in Europe. Apparently, most EU car makers have now sub-contracted their car seat manufacture to this company who makes them for the GM group (Fiat, Vauxhall/Opel) and Ford.
