Perfect reviews but mine was an absolute lemon

I loved the test drive and first few weeks of ownership but i had to call out Volvo Rescue when the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. I had it recovered to a different dealer and they found water ingress through the seals in the bulkhead behind the pedals. I then approached the original dealer who took it in (r******ed the other dealers work) and swore they had completely fixed the problem (cleaned all out the corroded connectors that were effected etc).
A couple of weeks later the rear window washer emptied its entire contents while driving. Back to the dealer. Mysterious airbag warnings which disappeared on their own.
A month or so later I could see a white fungal growth around and under the passenger seat. Back to the dealer for the better part of a fortnight to strip out everything and dry the carpets etc. Sunroof to blame this time and also a bad seal on the other side of the bulkhead. Promised it was perfect again. (apart from the plastic surrounds on the B pillar rattling loose and the loose roof-lining on the passenger side which was hanging down)
I had the car inspected by a third garage and they found leaking brakes at the rear.
An expensive year of multiple 50 mile round trips to the dealer. £34K for a quality car which was not of the quality it should have been. You go to a dealer and pay over the odds for the security of a sound car with continuing support.
The dealers answer was to sell me a different car.
I have been driving cars for over 40 years and this has been the most expensive, most problematic car I have ever owned. I cannot believe the reviews I read online as it bears no resemblance to the car I owned. It promised so much, the perfect car for a disabled retiree who wanted to spend his retiral money on a sound, reliable car. (Sounds almost funny now!)
