Hello there, I am looking for information about the requirements for storing engine oils in 1L and 4L containers (like castrol, mobile 1, shell etc). I would like to start an e-commerce business. I was refused self-storage, should it be a sea container? What are the legal requirements? I contacted various organizations and website, but no one answered my question.. please help!

A neighbour sometimes drives our car back from Heathrow and disconnects the battery, then a few weeks later reconnects it to drive back to the longstay pick-up area. Any thoughts on insurance, as the fee for just a couple of hours comprehensive cover on two different days has risen hugely. I wondered if anyone has experience of short term insurance either with their own companies or with separate short term suppliers? Read more
Thanks for the suggestions - I'll look into 'veygo'.
I was under my vehicle recently and noticed that the driver side half-shaft damper is perishing.
The car drives well, I don't notice anything untoward with it's behaviour (I believe a sign would be vibration?)... Read more
Drive shafts are not a specific testable item , but if the mot man thinks it’s likely to cause an issue , then it would be classed as advisory. Don’t think it’s the case with your car .
Any help please

As the car is based on a Renault, the “service “ light can also be a malfunction indicator light . Have all electronic systems been checked for any stored fault codes?

Should you pull the nail out of a punctured tyre before using an aerosol tyre sealant. Some manufacturers advise this. Personally I cannot see the advantage if it is plugging the hole. Also any preferences for water based sealants/foams against rubber based ? Read more
Last week I had a slow puncture repaired. It had lost about 2psi in a month. It turned out to be a nail in the centre, so repairable. £33 quid (no new valve, no balancing) seemed a bit steep but it had good tread and a new one would be £100 or so.
I would never leave a nail in a tyre but it’s not necessarily an MoT failure. I know people who’ve had an advisory and left it in. In an Audi TT no less....

I have a feeling speed traps and points on licences are more common place.
After a weekend break in Derbyshire during May I received and unwelcome piece of post. Exceeding 30 mph on a main road due to lack of concentration - camera was fixed on a pole behind me. Then having been away to Devon a couple of weeks ago I received more unwelcome post. This time caught doing 36 in a 30 limit after taking a wrong turn, from behind by a mobile/hand held camera, so that's three points and a speed awareness course - gather the latter is good.... Way back in 60's people got murdered for beeping a horn at the guy infront, unable to find first gear.
TBH, I think there are more 30 limits where at one time there weren't. Usually I drive on my own, on the tw aforementioned occasions I had passengers. In future I must concentrate more!

Not what I’d buy at this money, but I get the appeal. Good luck!
You will probably need a self contained lock up unit, trade counter unit.
COSHH are the regs you need to be up to speed on. Each product manufacturer will have a safety data sheet to inform your own COSHH and risk assessments.
