As reported today by the Telegraph, an EU ruling which is a classic piece of unrealistic and costly bureaucracy.
I' ve a leaking rear oil seal. I can see it on the torq converter and it drips out of the hole at bottom of bell housing. . this is after replacement . I lubricated as told by Haynes manual .

Slight variation on the above extraction method (this on a 2-stroke motorcycle, so much better access)
Drill 4 holes equally spaced around the seal periphery, self tappers in, wire the self-tappers to the ring of a ring-spanner, and use a gear puller on the ring. Spreads the load and gives a straight pull....

"Soros apparently (as far as I understand) funds many subvertive orgaisations, not directly, but via many of his thiird party 'charitable' organisations. Antifa (who aren't just marching against the far Right) being one of them, who aren't a pleasant bunch to say the least. It included paying for them to be bussed into areas all over the US as rent-a-mobs."I don't buy this. "As far as I understand" suggests there is no hard evidence, only whispers, which is what my searches confirm.
I have both read and seen news reports showing how seocndary Soros funded organisations fund others like XR and Antifa to keep his hands clean. Essentially they are 'arms length' organisations....
Hi,
I had an accident on the 3rd of February with the third party being completely at fault along with a witness however after the claim was being processed I noticed my tax had expired a month earlier. It was not my intention to be driving without tax and I rectified the issue by taxing the car immediately. When I taxed the car mid February online it showed that the tax is valid from 1st February which covers it for the accident date. I also paid for the missed January month of tax but my concern is about the third party paying out for the claim.
If the third party did ever find out that the car was untaxed at the time of the incident would they have the right not to pay out although I taxed the car as soon as I found out and says it's valid from the beginning of Feb?
I know road tax is more of a revenue system for HMRC and has nothing to do with accident liability and also unlike an mot which is important for road worthiness.
Would it be enough of a reason for them not to pay out? It was not my intention at all driving without tax but I was simply unaware and only for just over a month.
And if they did pay out but found out on a later date could they initiate a clawback style demand that I pay the full compensation amount, take me to court or maybe even try and do me for fraud?
And surely if I have paid all tax that was missed and due then I am all up to date with dvla and what I owe to the government. I know it was not taxed at the time of accident but paying the tax has made my tax valid from first of Feb and that's just the way it is and something which I can't control. It does seem like back dating the tax doesn't make sense but if dvla say it's valid from 1st Feb then it is.... Read more
Off the top of my head, no - but I definitely have seen it.

Awesome. Thanks Doc. In the end I managed to yank the cover high enough to get the croc clip under.
Hi all. My S is fitted with the factory AM/FM radio all built into the circular speedo assembly, hence no DAB.
Does anyone know if there was DAB option at that time please ? I'm not looking to change the radio itself, but I have added a DAB adaptor going in through the Aux port.... Read more
That's also the case with mine. I have an original Pure Highway. I bought it in 2008. Only today I've fitted a new antenna and an adapter cable for a total of £16. I haven't been anywhere yet with a poor signal, so I don't yet know how much of an improvement, if any, it's going to make. Hopefully it will be better than before. I get a full signal where I live, but I lose it four miles up the road. Time will tell.
I have emailed Avant with my comments about my site access being barred and for the sake of peace and tranquility will leave it at that.. I registered from another email adrress to post this..

On the induction stroke oil will be sucked into the combustion area and burned during ignition. That's why worn rings cause a blue, smoky exhaust.
Yes, but if this Mini was doing that it would fail on emissions ? We haven't been told that is happening....
Does anyone know where the main/PGM-FI relay location is on a 2009 Honda CR-V 2.2 CDTI (diesel).

Good to see a report back with a fix . (Rare these days ) . Was this a Bosch EDC engine control unit ?
I am in need of some suggestions for a vehicle to be used for very long runs around Europe. I need something with a lot of space and where the rear seats fold down into a bed. So a minivan or van base. I had thought of a Nissan Elgrand but am put off by the fuel costs.
Has anyone got any suggestions? Seems like most of these are Japanese imports, which is fine, but I don't know a huge amount about what is available. Budget about 5k.... Read more
