Afternoon all, hopefully one of you knowledgeable people will be able to help me please. As in the past I have been taken for a ride on car repairs, and don't really know enough usually to avoid this.
I have a vauxhall corsa c 1.3tdci easytronic 54 plate car. Recently it seems to my untrained eye as if the clutch has started to slip/stick between gears especially if accelerating up a hill (like if you leave the clutch pedal in then apply the accelerator in a manual car) on bad occasions, the transmission warning light illuminates briefly when this happens. Just had a major service including fitting a new Eolys catalytic system. Prior to this car ran faultlessly, Cat change was unexpected. Now car has a habit of cutting out after less than 10/20 miles. Starts immediately again on the key. As you can imagine not very safe on the Motorway. No warning on service indicator. Any ideas please on the problem please before I return to the Ford dealer as I have lost confidence with Mr Ford at the moment. Read more
You have to go back to the Ford dealer. You say they've just serviced it, and you've paid good money for that, so they're oblidged to fix it free of charge. I would not go anywhere else or attempt any repairs yourself, otherwise you might just give the dealer a way out.
I have recently bought a Ford Mondeo (06 plate) and a problem has occured now that the weather is getting that bit colder.
Like most cars now when the temp hits 5oC a warning light accompanied with an audible alarm come on warning me that it's cold. However on this car the alarm will continue to beep once every 90 seconds. This continues even if the temp rises and the warning light one the dashboard turns off.... Read more
You could try disconnecting the outside temp sensor,which is located behind the bumper,under the right headlight.However this may affect the climate control,if fitted.
The small 4- wire loom that connects to this is loose! The 4 wires are no longer in the small purple plastic connector. I can put them back in but i don't know the correct order. So at the moment, my rear window switch has no effect.
The lock mechanism is the same as the E46 i think, its PN is 8218849... Read more

You would need 18" wheels for those.
Why don't you buy some cheap steel wheels with winter tyres, i would go to 17" because you get a wider choice of tyres, and a profile more suitable for plowing through snow....

take off the solenoid from starter and clean and retighten. easy job. was a prob i had some years back the loose connection caused funny start up noise
Or possibly starter gear needs cleaning on shaft and isnt engaging ring gear properly,may as well remove and give a good clean and lub
Hi all. My first post here so be gentle. I have a Astra 1.6 8v on a 03 plate. Ile cut to the chase. I had my front hub bearings done this week and before this all was ok.
