Sorry but this is going to be vague,
I seem to recall a fault involving multi plug connectors under the front carpets and water ingress.
Like I stated vague.
but it might help.
I have a Q3 S-line Plus. Comes with 19 inch wheels and I think smaller wheels would be quieter and more comfortable. Should I go for 18 inch or 17 inch and will roadholding be compromised. Any experience of Michelin Cross Max? Any help much appreciated. Thanks Read more
Many VW models have a selection of wheel/tyre sizes that can be specified at order time - they also have an additional list of winter tyre sizes - my new Touareg came on 265/50 R19 but I'm fitting 235/65 R17 winter tyres as it's a listed option.
Audi may be similar - you do need to inform your insure but the better ones won't alter the premium if it's a manufacturer's recommended size.

On the 307 the important thing is to make sure the wheel arch liners are fully intact, as the power steering motor and window washer reservoir and motor are behind one and the ABS unit & horn behind the other and vulnerable.
The ABS unit is supposed to have a waterproof plastic cover on it too.

My 2010 Auris 1.4 (petrol) has been going well since I bought it in the summer, but when it's warm, after a 10-15 mins, there there is squeaky noise from the nearside rear wheel. It comes and goes but can be quite piercing. On a right hand bend I don't hear it, and I don't hear it when the brakes are applied. It's disc brakes all round I was thinking a worn disc, but I don't know. Any ideas welcome?
Many thanks Read more
The upshot was that the rear pads were badly worn. I had them replaced and that restored quiet running
My question is - the car has been rejected, the car dealer has refused to accept the rejection - who owns the car in this case? DVLA has been informed, whose responsibility is the insurance of the car?

Hi there,
Firstly apologies, an annoying question, but hopefully you guys can help so I'm looking on moving house and my mileage is going to go up and wondering if I should take the company car so current situation is to take the allowance:... Read more
Further up the post I did suggest running your own car but then the OP moved the goal posts declaring that private mileage would be 26,000 miles a year - that's an awful lot of fuel(circa £3.5k) and up-keep/depreciation(£lots). You can't do this sort of mileage reliably with a banger.
You would need to choose the right company car though because of the BIK/CO2. Hybrids etc were mentioned further up the post (or in the seperate nearly identical thread the OP posted!)...
