Possibly a broken wire in the bunch between the body and tailgate where they flex.
I was driving on a country lane about a mile from home today and had to pull ont the verge to avoid 2 horses with (novice riders)in the middle of the road, being led by a riding instructor.
In the process of doing this (I was only about a tyres width onto the verge), I got my lower front wing dented by a rock which was obscured by long grass, which had been put there by a householder nearby.... Read more
And if you choose to go off the metaled highway onto the verge then its your reponsibility to ensure it is clear! Does sound as though the owner (or previous owner) of the adjoining property has had proiblems in the past with people driving over the verge and decided to stop them...
Still think its an "accident" and you should just learn from it and move on... Next time, unless you are sure that the verge is clear, just stop on the highway and let them past, after all they are more "off road vehicles" than you and could have traversed the verge without any problems!
My Renault clio cam belt went a few months ago, the RAC told me it was sc***, so i listened and got £60 and claimed my tax back. Annoying part was i had £16 worth of petrol still in it! cam belts never seem to snap on the petrol light! ;-)

You have a Corsa B. Issues with snapped camshafts due to loose bolts seem to only be an issue with 2005 Corsa C's.
Toyota has changed one of last months 5 year warranty offer to a permanent one. http://tinyurl.com/34ho85r
After the sticking throttle, sales slide and increased competion from Hyundai its a wise move. I expect Honda may make the jump within the next couple of years. I'd love to buy a Toyota, but alas I do not fit the seat travel is terrible on them.... Read more

As a recent victim of a hit and run accident, faced with the enquiries from the police, insurance company, and the courts I have been thoroughly disappointed with the way I have been treated. I wondered whether anyone else has been through a similar experience particularly as regards the accident investigation. My problems started with the police who failed to speak to two important witnesses to the accident both at the scene and later. When the case got to court the other driver gave a different version of events which convinced the magistrates and he got off with driving without due care and attention. This would appear to have had a knock on effect with the insurance company who tended not to believe my version of how the accident happened, although they did eventually pay out.... Read more
I am sorry you had a bad experience with the police accident investigators. They normally are very diligent in their enquiries and take a very harsh line on hit-and-run drivers - as indeed do the courts. Without more information I cannot comment on the merits of the particular case.
However even without the hit-and-run charge the driving without due care and attention conviction should have played very heavily in your favour and I would normally have expected there to be a very swift admission of liability and settlement of your compensation claim....
Due to back problems i am looking for a car with high seating for less than £4k.

Yes, definitely check the fuel filter, I had the same problem with my diesel X-trail. There seems to be a lot of dodgy diesel about and the filter needs attention at least every 10,000 miles.
