What about this for driver enraging, seen in Bexley, S. London?
The sign I'm talking about is "Give way to vehicles from other direction".
There was one in one direction, a bus stop, then one for the other direction.
It meant that when the bus was stopped the road was completely closed, as these signs are accompanied by a narrowing of the road.

Rental a car from Dollar via Carhire3000 and joined Dollars 'Express Dollar' Club at no charge. Arrived MCO Orlando and about 100 people in the queue. Walked past them to the Express lane and No queue and I was out of there in less that 2 minutes with a free upgrade to a Chysler 300. Alamo queue was agout 80 people and my Son who hired with them had to wait 1 hr 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone out. Regards Peter Read more
I'd think if you had a flat tyre they won't mind. It's more to do with where you take the car, e.g. on tracks not suitable for normal cars.

To a town south west of Paris.
Three white shirts on hanger, three pairs of pants in door pocket, three pairs of socks (black) in other door pocket, toothbrush in ashtray, laptop in boot.
All in a very empty touran.
Disappeared from the Honda UK website in under 3 years - only 2nd hand available.
It appears 3+ltr cars do not sell unless they have German origins - How will Infiniti make a mark when Honda could not despite the Legend being well specified and well built! Read more
Completely agree Mike. This country and France (poss Germany now too) is obsessed with Diesel. I have owned two and hated every minute. Thank goodness manufacturers are making decent progress producing large petrol engines with reasonably low CO2. All this CO2 judged tax is a nonsense in any case. I'll stop now as I can feel a political rant brewing in my mind....!!
Hello,

Most of these fast fit places offer a free brake check ask them to have a look at it.
I had occasion to go to Oxford yesterday and on way back I was tootling along at 70 when a Ford 375 Consul passed me - now that was a shock as my old Zodiac never felt safe at that speed - it was the grubbiest one I have ever seen - painted matt black with painted on cat paw marks- the rear number plate was missing so not sure of year - anyway I had to pass it just for pride sake - then further on I passed a car towing a hot rod not in too good condition either - then getting close to Warwick turn I passed a nice looking pink 50's Buick - very low to ground (my type of car) - so anyone any idea what event these cars might have been to? -obviously Oxford or further south. Is that the before or after ?
Just recently my car has developed a bearing noise -- it's a kind of grinding/whizzing noise that increases in pitch with engine revs, and which disappears after a period of a couple of miles or about 5 minutes at idle.
When it has quietened down at idle it will come back for a while if the steering is turned, so I suspect that the PAS pump is at fault.
Few questions:
1) Are these parts *really* nearly £400 on a Nissan? ISTR replacing the pump on an old Cavalier and getting change from £100 new....
2) Is it a complete pump replacement or is it possible to replace/refurb the bearings at lower cost?
3) How long would the pump be expected to last in its current condition? The car is around two weeks from the point where I can obtain a 13-month MOT. I'd rather not splash out on the car if it is possibly going to fail, but I do a few hundred miles a week so if it is likely to fail completely I'd rather make alternative arrangements now.
Thanks for any insights. Read more
Ever noticed how many cars there are for sale parked at the side of the road?
Usually at the bangernomics end of the scale, small hatchback jobs. Saw a couple while walking round to the shops and guess what? Not one on the motor insurance database.
Assuming that a prospective punter would want to take a test drive, it's quite scary really. Read more
S'funny ... Out of all the cars I've bought, I've never got one from a 'road side trader', but my neighbour where I lived b4 sold her nice V 940 est. by parking it on a grass verge with price & Ph. No. on the windscreen - and she is as straight as a Roman Rd.,
Just because a geezer has a collar & tie and sits behind a teak veneer desk with pictures of nice models (cars!) on the wall, doesn't mean he's honest Charlie.
Maybe an expert in cars or Hyundai cars can help me with this question. My dealer told me that Hyundai is replacing Getz with i10. From a mechanical point of view is i10 a really new? Is it just a new exterior? Read more
Your dealer should be able to quote servicing costs, in the first few years you shouldnt need much other than fixed price servicing and any else should be under warrenty. Our dealer did quote servicing costs but I cant remember the exact figures.
It's the others! The people who have the priority often assume that they can blat straight through, not realising that the poor person on the other side of the crazy obstruction can't see them. If it was someone's badly overgrown hedge or tree obstructing half a road they'd soon get a letter telling them to trim it back or failing that, a bill when the Council came to do it.
