Would you recommend a Nissan Qashqai or Hyundai ix30?

I am undecided between buying a new automatic Nissan Qashqai or a Hyundai ix30 and would welcome your advice, based on reliability records. Even the Ford Kuga is a possibility, but I am limited on garage length and every centimetre counts.

I'd add a KIA Sportage to your list. It's becoming very popular because of the styling and residuals will be good as a result. Same underneath as the ix30. Go for 16-inch wheels for the best ride quality. Fuel economy of the diesel autos is not brilliant. A Mazda CX-5 is better or a new Qashqai is on the way.
