Should I be charged an admin fee for renewing my car insurance?
I have received my annual renewal quote for insurance. It is £20 more than last year which I had anticipated but on top of the quote was a £20 admin fee for processing the renewal. Is this the norm these days since I have never been charged before?

Not it is not. Contact them and advise you will be taking your business elsewhere unless they waive it. Any admin cost should be incorporated in the premium.
