If I buy a pre-reg 2017 Toyota Yaris hybrid, will it definitely be the new model?
I'm intending to buy a pre-reg Toyota Yaris hybrid quite soon. My last car was a pre-reg diesel Toyota Yaris bought in 2004 and it has served me very well. You have given a good review to the 2017 Yaris hybrid and I just want to check out some details that I find a bit confusing on the official Toyota website. If the advertised car is registered by the dealer in 2017, is that definitely the new 2017 Yaris? Does the 2017 Yaris hybrid have a new engine? The descriptions on the website seem to differ from car to car and I don't want to inadvertently buy an older model by mistake.

No. The 2017 Yaris was not launched until April and dealer stocks for months afterwards could and probably will be be the old model, though there was no need for them to pre-register Yaris hybrids to avoid higher showroom tax from April 2017.
