Must I cancel my insurance when I sell my car?

I would highly recommend you do, as for one, you should get a refund on any months of insurance paid for and not used. And two, should the vehicle be involved in an accident after you have sold it, it will show up on the insurer database as you being the insured. If you have not checked and retained the names of the people who bought the car, you could easily have a fraud committed against you.
