I'm looking for a fun, four-seat car - what do you think of the Volvo S60 or Saab 9-5?

I'm looking for an interesting car to buy for six months as I'm looking to come back to the UK to work for six months next year. My requirements are fairly relaxed; a good fun four-seater car which can travel along the motorways safely and comfortably, which is around five years old and costs around £4000 to buy. Insurance isn't an issue, as I'm almost 40 and have a good track record. My initial thoughts are for large and Swedish, so a Volvo S60 or Saab 9-5 spring to mind. Any thoughts or alternative suggestions?

The 9-5 petrol is okay. Avoid the 1.9 diesel. Volvo S60s can be cheap. I'd also think about a SEAT Leon 1.820VT Cupra.
