Buying a Volkswagen Up - should I following the emissions scandal?

I am thinking of buying a Volkswagen Up. Their sales period is coming to an end this month and they are offering £900 discount with a finance package. Do you think given the current Volkswagen 'problems' they will give better discounts in the next quarter i.e after 1 October 2015?

Volkswagen Up is not diesels so why should they be affected in any way?
