Car hit by falling roof tile - who pays for the repair?

A theoretical question, if roof a tile falls off a neighbour's roof, say during a storm, and damaged my car (parked on my drive), who is liable? Would it be the neighbour's house insurance or my car insurance?

If the tile was blown off during a storm then your neighbour will not be liable unless it can be proven they were negligent. This means you would need to prove the property was in an obvious state of disrepair, prior to the high winds removing one or more tiles from the roof.
