  Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. I;ve got a Ford Puma which has the age old heater problem (constantly blowing hot air) so I think it may be the HCV. However I took off the electrical connector and applied a multimeter to test - when i used the chassis as a ground i got just under 12v (11.79) which was constant when i turned the heater from midway to cold.

  Hi there, 1996 Ford Fiesta Encore with an engine revving problem. When clutch depressed, engine revs away even with foot off accelerator until speed drops below 5 or so mph. Also works the other way (e.g in neutral, no accelerator, start rolling down a hill and engine revs run away).

  TDCI went into Ford garage due to fumes in the cabin. Garage replaced the injector seals and smell has now gone. Unfortunately the turbo no longer works. All diagnostics indicate no issue and the injectors themselves have been taken back out and checked.

  Hi, Could anyone provide me with any information on water in the spark plug hole causing rust and the spark plug to break when attempting to remove the plug. Are Ford aware of this? as I am currently in dispute as to who should pay for the repair as it broke during a service. The car has only done 34000 miles and is just under 3 years old and they want to charge me £700 plus the cost of the service If anyone is aware of any history of the or documented evidence I would be grateful to hear from you as this would assist my argument with e garage Thanks Barry

  Hello there, My partners car is a FORD FOCUS SPORT TDCI which is not listed. When the car is NOT in motion and it happened this morning, when he just went out to start the car there was an audible noise like a tone that is coming from a rear wheel arch???

  I'm pretty sure it's the fob the light does come on when I press the buttons but it doesn't tend to do anything unless I spend 10 minutes trying. I've been in touch with ford and it's going to cost a lot to replace the fob and then even more to code it. Has anyone got any ideas on a cheaper alternative?

  Hi, I have already replaced one side of my Ford Focus's rear brakes, replacing the disc rotor and the brake pads with very few problems. But on the other side I have been trying for hours to try and remove the handbrake cable from the rear brake calliper in order to fit the new disc / pads - but it just won't budge....it's a good 2 mm short of clearing the hook it's held in with.

  Hi I have 2002 Galaxy 1.9 TDi 115hp turbo diesel. The original battery has been changed to again Ford battery, but from Focus 1.8 petrol. I haven't driven the Galaxy since August 08 and the battery was totally flat. I'm charging it now, but not sure it will recover. In case I need to by replacement what battery should I purchase - Acid lead or Calcium and how many Ah?

I have kept the correct tyre pressure maintained. I will admit I have hit quite a few kerbs when parking, but never at high speed.

  She never uses AM but I like Radio 5 so is there any easy way of improving the reception? The car was bought from a Ford Direct dealer at about a year old and I've no idea if the problem's always existed or something's happened since she got it. Any advice gratefully received as always :)

  Hi all Not been on for a while but am just about to buy a Fiesta Zetec Climate 3 dr 1.4 cc 56 plate from a main ford dealer my question is I am looking for a small car cheap on running costs and rd tax , there price is £6,499 one owner and 25,000 miles on the clock. , I have saved 2,000 as the deposit and to keep my payments down to £112 a month , it only comes with 3 months warranty , to buy a warranty it for a year its another £350 but starts now not at the end of the 3 months , would it be worth it or are they no good. could sombody answer asap please.

  Hi - just wondered whether anyone has any thoughts as what might be causing this. Had new plugs, leads and new (Ford) coilpack - all fine when first starting out on a drive. Once engine is warm I get a snick / misfire when (for example) pulling away at a roundabout. Seems to happen in all gears if you suddenly put your foot on the gas.

  It's occurs every time I fill up to the first automatic shut off. Has anyone else noticed this problem with any Ford Focus 2008 onwards model and if so what's the problem ? My previous Focus 05 never had this problem.

  I was perhaps fortunate this did not occur at speed as the FNS wheel locked when the broken coil spring was forced against the tyre. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience as I am told by Ford that they have done a mod to the suspension for this car although no recall has been made. This seems to me to be a safety issue (at least potentially) and in forty years of owning numerous new and old cars I have never experienced a coil spring snapping on any vehicle.

  What are your experiences of owning and driving a Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi 136 ps ? (any model) In particular pre 2008 versions and the upgraded 2008 version. Is there a noticable improvement in refinement and quietness in the Focus II upgrade compared with the original Focus II ?

  The 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 litre petrol Ford Focus are fitted with the iB5 manual transmission whereas the 2.0 litre petrol and 1.8 litre turbo diesel are fitted with the MTX 75 transmission. Because my Focus is a 1.8 petrol it uses the iB5 gearbox.

  Engine idles normally & symptoms appear after several miles(around 20 to 30). not keen on going to local Ford dealer as they charge the earth. Next step is to change plug leads. Any suggestions please. I do not have trouble with water round plugs as experienced by some owners. Pity there is no Haynes manual yet.

  My daughter has a 2003 Ford KA 1.3 with 31000 miles. As she is not working and cannot find a job for the moment I have offered to service her car for her. (I used to home service all my cars until 15 years ago so I am out of practice).

  I have a Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI 1999 and it wont start, since i have had it in to my local injection specialist and he has said it has gave fault code 059 which is the immobiliser box of tricks on the pump, meaning the pump is knackered, the pump code is 0470004002.
