Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 1998 1.8 TDDi fuel pump replacement

1998 1.8 TDDi fuel pump replacement - leerichmond21
I have a Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI 1999 and it wont start, since i have had it in to my local injection specialist and he has said it has gave fault code 059 which is the immobiliser box of tricks on the pump, meaning the pump is knackered, the pump code is 0470004002.
However i have a replacement which i know is good but the code is 0470004006, can i use this?
I have spoke to my engineer and he says it should be ok and i have contacted various other injection engineers from other companies, some say it will work ok and others say its wont.
Does anyone know if this will be ok?

Try asking local Ford dealer, parts department might help if you act really stuck.
Did you check in line fuel filter? Might cause pump to stop as it can suck up all the rubbish in the tank especially if you run the car low on diesel.
