Mk1 Ford Focus - Ford Focus starting issues 4 Dec 2019 (Forum)
I own a Mk1 2004 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI and ive owned this for around a year. Its cover 84,000 miles. In the winter, last year, it would struggle to start on cold mornings, but would always start and then be fine starting thereafter. -
2016 Ford Focus 1,5 TDCi 6 Speed Manual - 2016 Focus 1,5 TDCi Clutch/Transmission/Gearbox 24 Jul 2018 (Forum)
Starting to pick up comments on the internet that this is possibly a known issue with the model/gearbox. I have it booked in with the Ford dealers next week but think they will try and pull a fast one. A) Is this a known issue (engine mount, clutch bearing etc) and I can expect this to be fixed under warrenty? B) Will Ford take the car back if I reject it within 30 days? -

Ford Focus Saloon - ford focus issues 30 Jun 2015 (Forum)
Hi, I urgently need help as my friend is a single mother and needs her car. Its a 56 plate ford focus. The other week, the instrument cluster went blank and just read -----. She pulled into garage and turned the car off. When she attempted to restart, there was nothing but an immobiliser light and it wouldn't let her crank the engine. -
Ford Ka - 2004 Ford KA: blowing cold air and losing coolant 17 Mar 2014 (Forum)
Morning all, I've been having a Google search for this problem for quite some time, and I usually find it's either one problem or the other as opposed to both at the same time. I've had my Ford KA for about seven or eight months now: it's a fantastic little car, starts up fist time without fail and runs like a dream. A couple of months ago I'd run a usual check on the coolant and oil levels and noticed the former was dangerously low: no problem I thought and topped it back up. -
Ford Focus 1.6 Elle (02 Plate) - Is this Ford Focus 02 worth it? 30 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Hi, I have been to view a Ford Focus today and I really liked the car, bodywork and interior was in great condition for age. Car has 78k miles on it with part service history, 3 owners and MOT history. It is taxed until end of February and MOT'd till September 2014. -
Ford Fiesta - '01 Ford Fiesta - does this sound right? 11 May 2012 (Forum)
I've never posted before but would really appreciate some advice/opinions on what has happened to my beloved X-reg Ford Fiesta 1.3 Finesse. I booked in to Mr Clutch to get the clutch & hydraulic bearing replaced - it was taken in this morning. At lunchtime I had a call to say they had replaced the clutch OK, but would also need to replace a hydraulic line as the 'system wasn't re-pressurising due to a leak' (or similar.) -
Ford Focus 1.4 '04 - Ford Focus 04 Dashboard Problems 12 Dec 2010 (Forum)
**The main lights work fine and so does the stereo I'm planning on getting some electrical contact spray and removing/cleaning the earth straps on the body around the engine before I consider taking it to a garage. I'm pretty skint so couldn't possibly afford to take to a Ford dealership and wondered if anyone else had experienced the same/similar problems with the focus, and how they got on with having it remedied? Many thanks in advance for your input Danny -

What's causing my 1.4-litre Ford Fiesta to cut out when I slow down? 16 Jun 2010 (Ask HJ)

Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - Fiesta ST 8 Jan 2010 (Forum)
I will be doing around 35k miles a year so am looking for a lower mileage car - not for residual value purposes, just because there is the potential for less to go wrong (and I do mean potential, I'm not making any assumptions). Research leads me to the Ford family and I have come down to 2 choices (both 2005/2006 models): Ford Mondeo 2.0i any trim Ford Fiesta 2.0i ST I would value thoughts and feedback on running the ST. My daily commute is 45 miles each way and is a mix of fast A road, M1 from Jn 9 - 1 and heavy West London traffic. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 99 1.8 Manual gearbox oil seal leak replies needed 1 Jul 2009 (Forum)
He also said that he could not see any sign of the sealer that the garage supposedly used. I intend to get the job done properly now at the Ford garage I mentioned. However my concern is if the garage has used sealer mixed in with the oil would it necessarily damage the gears, bearings etc inside the gearbox and also the Ford technician checked the oil level in the gearbox and said that it was quite full. -
Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 07 1.6 broken shock absorber 18 May 2009 (Forum)
Because it started following the repair I took it back to same garage. They could not find fault in quick inspection so sent car to Ford for diagnosis. Ford could not take it in for 6 days so I continued driving. When they got it Ford reported back that the drivers side front shock absorber was "smashed". Not just worn or damaged, but completly broken. -
Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 07 2.0 TDCI servicing & warranty 23 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Do you have to take the car to the dealer for servicing during the warranty period or is it valid with any reputable qualified mechanic? Unless it will impact on my warranty I very much doubt we will have the sevice done at Ford as I have a perfectly good local mechanic who charges less than half of what Ford qouted. any info appreciated, thanks. -
Ford Theft Deterrent surely not? 25 Apr 2004 (Forum)
Last week my Cd player got stolen out of my car (there is a previous posting by me lurking somewhere) so I have put the original Ford Stereo. The car is a mark 4 fiesta and the stereo a 5000 rds so the big breezeblock sized thing. Anyway - these Ford radios have the feature of being able to remove the radio preset buttons 2 - 5 revealing a flashing LED as a theft deterrent and thus rendering the radio inoperable. -
