  this year the problem has recurred, mostly recently on Monday this week when it cut out as I was approaching the motorway slip road. Ford state that they cannot find anything wrong with it this time round. Has anyone else had the same problem? When the car is re-started, there is no problem with it. It just occurs every now and then.

  I duly bought a new fan switch and tried this and it worked on all 4 blower positions. Now two months down the line the same problem has occurred and I took the switch back to Fords and was given a new one, thinking the switch was faulty. However even with the new switch it will only work in the 4th maximum position, do you think it is faulty resistors on the fan motor itself which don't have to work in the maximum postion???

  I have a 1999 1.4 Ford Focus Zetec. I do not have remote central locking but there is central locking with the key. The central locking function comes and goes and is currently inactive and I have to manually lock each door.

  Hi, I've got a '97 ghia fiesta and want to put a single din head unit into the car to replace the standard fit unit, which requires an adapter to blank out the space that will be left after removing the double din size unit. the only problem is that ford tell me a wood effect adapter isn't available, and that i'll have to make do with a black one. i was sure a wood effect one was available, and i'm hoping it still is - putting a black panel on a wood effect dash will look really stupid.
