  • Ford Fiesta Saloon - Intermittent Rev Drop 22 May 2013 (Forum)
This is on a 2004 1.4i Ford Fiesta Zetec Noticed that when the aircon is on the revs drop every 20 secs or so. At the same time as the rev drop the radiator fan kicks in and though it’s hard to tell with the rad fan kicking I suspect I hear another clunk at the same time - maybe the aircon pump engaging?
  • Ford Focus Diesel Titanium 07 plate - Electrical problem 15 Apr 2013 (Forum)
Hi I've got a problem with the electrics on a Ford Focus Diesel Titanium. Basically, there is no power to the offside front and rear doors. Hence the electric windows, central locking and the electic mirrors don't work. They do work on the nearside doors except the mirror which I believe is controlled by the drivers door.

Hi Guys I noticed when checking the heat cover for the back box on a Ford Mondeo Estate (1.8l, 2003), that the rubber cover for what I think is the nearside rear shock absorber has deterioted on one side (with a hole big enough to put a couple of fingers through) - is this an easy job to do for someone who isnt a mechanic by trade, or is it a big, expensive job that needs urgent attention?.

  • Ford Focus 1.6tdci 55 plate - Obd error code P1934 on a intermittent non start 15 Jul 2012 (Forum)
Ive had an intermittent non start with this vehicle for a while now (more evident when I were in the vehicle for a long period with the engine off) and purchased an OBD II scanner to find error codes P1934,U0073 and P0500. Ford told me that P1934 is not generally defined but is in the transmission category. Could this be a crankshaft sensor problem that I keep hearing about? Grateful for any ideas

  • Ford Focus - engine misfire 20 Sep 2011 (Forum)
My local independant says it is moisture causing tracking on the spark plug leads where they enter the engine and Ford recommend a dose of their silicon spray. Has anyone heard about this? It is not a great problem because it does not happen too much. They are the original plug leads so maybe it is to be expected?

  • Ford Crown Victoria - why are new US cars so pricey? 6 Jul 2011 (Forum)
Yes yes I know you have to pay shipping, VAT and the work to get it approved for our roads, but importing firms seem to do the sums and add an extra zero.  Is it worth going over and sorting it myself?  I want a Ford Crown Victoria.  In black please.   Thanking you.
  • Ford Focus Ghia 2007 - Annoying rattle 12 Jun 2011 (Forum)
My Ford Focus has an annoying rattle which starts when the car reaches 50 mph.  It comes from behind the glovebox and sounds like a piece of paper or plastic trapped in the left vent. I have been in touch with another 2007 Focus owner with exactly the same problem.
  • Ford Focus 2 - Soft paint 6 Jun 2011 (Forum)
These are only cosmetic, and don't go through the paint, but still look a mess. Is this the norm for modern paints,  are they particularly bad on Fords, or is it just the paint on my car that is poor? Does anyone else have any observations on this?

  • ford focus tdci 2004 - Used car paint peeling after 3 weeks. 6 Feb 2011 (Forum)
Bought a 2004 ford foucus about 3/4 weeks ago from local garage, looked to be in great condition with no rust, anyway went to wash it today on and noticed loads of rust on back cills and around front cills, on closer inspection i notice that the paint is peeling and coming off, obviously they have sprayed straight over the rust to hide this, is there anything i can do?
