Ford Focus Ghia 2007 - Annoying rattle - johndes

My Ford Focus has an annoying rattle which starts when the car reaches 50 mph. It comes from behind the glovebox and sounds like a piece of paper or plastic trapped in the left vent.

I have been in touch with another 2007 Focus owner with exactly the same problem. He also knows other people who have experienced the same rattling noise starting at 50 mph.

I have tried the garage but to no avail. Can you help please?

Probably the wheel arch liner flapping around, this is a well known problem with this shape Focus. On the newer Focii, they stuck a piece of foam on the liner where it touches the top of the wheel arch inside. You should be able to cure it by repositioning and tightening the liner and gluing soem strong foam on the place in question.
