  I have a 1.8 petrol Ford Focus which has 78k miles. Since the car had a service last November I have noticed that when the engine is such that it is running at about 1500rpm e.g. at 30mph in fourth gear or 20-25 mph in third gear there is a noise that I can't remember being there before the service - perhaps a coincidence ?

  Hi I have a ford focus 1.8 TDCi with bluetooth and voice control on a second generation Sony CD. Everything used to work great without problems but now I have no bluetooth or voice control. I've found a couple of post on the net relating to 2006 ford focus which suggest taking out fuses 58 and 83 to solve the issue however my car does not have these fuses.

• Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 2005 1.6 Duratec 100BHP - Spark Plug Gap? 6 Nov 2007 (Forum)
  The originals had 0.050" (approx 1.3mm) gaps. The new ones are factory gapped at 0.047" (approx 1.2mm). Both are Ford AYFS22CB I can only find information on the Mk1 Focus 1.6 which seems to be 1.3mm and use AYFS22C plugs. The Ford ones appear very similar to NGK's, their recommended replacement being TR5A -10 gapped at 1.0 mm (for all 1.6 models) The new ones are running well and have cured the hesitant idling problem recently experianced.

  I have a Ford Focus 2000 model Zetec hatchback, 2L petrol. Of late while trying to make turns with the steering wheel in full lock(left or right), I lose all power assistance. Occasionally the engine dies out as well.

  I have taken the car back to the ford dealer he says that there must be a problem with gearbox probably synchromesh! The car never had this problem before clutch was renewed. The car has covered 135000 miles any comments suggestions would be really welcome in trying to sort this.

  Five weeks later I went to have the new unit fitted only to find out that it was the old one repaired. Guess what, it failed this morning, again. I have tried complaining to Ford Customer services, but getting nowhere. Does anyone on these forums have any suggestions or alternative contacts at ford where I can speak to someone who will help resolve the issue, because so far I feel like I'm going round in circles and being treated like a patsy.

  Looking at the ford.co.uk site, its not very clear what the standard warranty period is, as there are a number of warranty options available. Ford Ireland ltd., tells me they will honour any existing UK warranty on the car. Anyone got an email address or contact no. for ford UK so I can clarify the warranty period.? I do have the VIN of this car.
• Ford Stereo connection size change 16 Sep 2006 (Forum)
  The unit fitted, accepted the power feed plug and speaker connection plug but when I came to plug in the steering stalk control, found it was too large for the socket on the back of the stereo. The unit works fine but I would like to get the steering controller working. Ford tell me that there is an adapter available to connect up an alternative brand stereo, i.e. Sony, which will utilise the steering stalk control, but no adapter is available to convert the plug down in size to use what I can only assume is an earlier type Ford stereo?

  I'm just wondering if the price he's charging for a new one plus fitting etc is about right, he says he's doing his best for her but i thought i'd ask the question. He has ordering a non Ford steering rack as a Ford one would cost loads more ££. Anyway the total price he's charging is £240 and the Mrs isnt happy but she's gone ahead with it anyhow as she has her retest next week. Thoughts?

  I purchased a new Ford Galaxy TDI 115bhp in May 2001. I am very pleased overall with the vehicle - except for one thing. The vehicle is fiited with the VAG 6 speed gearbox which is very pleasing to use once the car has warmed up, usually over a distance of 4 to 5 miles from cold, unfortunately, until then I find that the gear change from 1st to 2nd tends to 'grate'.
