Ford Fusion - Ford Fusion Rear Shocks Serious Fluid Leak 24 Jun 2011 (Forum)
I was going to be buying a Ford Fusion on Saturday - subject to new MOT. I have had a quick squizz at the VOSA mot database as i have a copy of the V5 and most recent MOT provided by the seller. It has failed the MOT this morning for this: -Registration plate lamp bulb not working (1.1.C.1c) -Nearside Rear Shock absorber has a serious fluid leak (2.7.3) -Offside Rear Shock absorber has a serious fluid leak (2.7.3) Is this A) Expensive to fix and B) Could it be an indication of further issues to follow? -
Ford Fiesta - Ford Fiesta IV heater not working 17 Nov 2010 (Forum)
I thought I'd join Honest John and post this message as, despite reviewing previous posts and trying various things I'm still up the creek! My Ford Fiesta mk IV (2000) heater is blowing out cold air. I've replaced the heater control value and flushed the heater matrix. Both the inlet and outlet pipes to the matrix are hot. Can anyone help? -
Ford probe 1997 V6 2.5 - Ford Probe 1997 V6 2.5 immobiliser problem 5 Jul 2010 (Forum)
I recently bought a Ford Probe 1997 2.5 V6. it went fine for the first three months, then suddenly wouldn't start. AA took it to a local garage and it appeared that the distributor was the problem. Having located a distributor and replaced it, the car started but after a short while the immobiliser kicked in and the car would not go. -
Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI - Place to get a Cambelt Changed 8 Jun 2010 (Forum)
I am currently looking for somewhere in Stockport/Manchester to get a Timing Belt, Aux Drive Belt and Waterpump replaced on a Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI. I phoned up Polar Ford and was quote just over £600. This is a lot of money although if it is better I go to Ford then so be it. Can anyone recommend a local independant in the Stockport or Manchester area (Tameside way)? -

Ford Kuga (2008 - ) - Diesel Auto Planned in future? 25 Mar 2009 (Forum)
I would, however, like to get an auto as I'm just plain tired now of pressing a pedal and pushing a gear lever (call it middle age approaching!). Does nayone (HJ?) know if Ford plan to release an auto version of this in the future? I don't know Ford cars that well these days - do they do auto diesels at all? On a separate point - the new XF Jag engines look nice - who designed them - Ford or was it the new owners of Jag? -
Ford Fiesta model changes etc 2 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Hello. Having just browsed the ford website i have noticed that the model names for the fiesta are changing. For E.G the finnesse (Finesse or however its spelt) will now be a studio. Is this inline with the new focus. Also having chatted with a ford dealer they say they are giving the Fiesta a spring clean starting next month (March) does anyone know what has or will change. -
Ford Explorer automatic gearbox fault 31 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Next day, it did the same again. The garage that fitted it talked of it needing a sensor and said they had taken it to a Ford garage to be sorted out "because it is a Ford part". As a relative of mine (some distance away)is spending about £1800 on this repair, I am keen to find out as much as I can on this. What does the sensor do? -
ABS on the Ford Focus 23 Sep 2003 (Forum)
I'm keen that it should be fitted with ABS, but I'm unclear when this became standard fit... I have a post-facelift brochure which my friendly local Ford dealer gave me last month, which says that only Ghia models have ABS as standard. However, I also understand from Ford's website and what the salesman said that all models now have it fitted as standard. -
ford galaxy oven 21 Nov 2002 (Forum)
I have a ford galaxy zetec, bought from new in May 2001. The air blowers now only blow hot and we are being cooked on all but the shortest of journeys, and its made worse by all the glass in these cars. Ford say its a software problem that they don't have a fix for. -
