Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 00 2.0 Water Ingress 17 Sep 2008 (Forum)
Our driveway slopes downwards and the car is parked so that water could flow from the back of the car to the front, so as far as I can see we either have one leak at the back which is then running to the front (if this is possible?) or two leaks, front and back. The local ford dealership has not been particularly helpful, they've had a hose on it and can't trace the leak. They say their next step is to strip all the seats and carpet out and turn the hose on it again (the cost will be fairly substantial). -
Ford StreetKa (2003 - ) - 2003 (03) 1.6 8v - severe misfire under load 28 Aug 2008 (Forum)
This is making it quite hard for me to do anything with it - a misfire at idle would be easier to track down, but no, it idles perfectly. Plugs were changed at the last service about 8 months ago (Ford/Motorcraft genuine replacements) and this has started happening in the last month or two and has got progressively worse. Any suggestions gratefuly received. Cheers DP -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 2001 1.6 Engine Light & other electrical problems 27 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Hi All, I have a Ford Focus 1.6 Yreg and only recently some probs have started surfacing. First my driver side electric window stopped working and now remains closed at all times, the the speedo started dropping to zero whilst driving (when this happens it seems power is restricted to the stereo because the volume drops until the speedo shoots back up to the actual speed i'm moving) and then the traction control light started coming on ramdomly even when not skidding (it can stay on for a hour or so and then turn off randomly) and NOW, last night, my ENGINE LIGHT came on!! -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2005 2.0 diesel - engine fault 2 Mar 2008 (Forum)
I really need some help from people who know about Ford Mondeo diesel engines. I have a 2005 Mondeo on which the warranty runs out in March. The car has had a new fuel pump under warranty. Sometimes the car still runs badly and goes into limp mode. The car has been at the dealer and they have tried to recode an injector but say that this has failed and a new injector will need to be fitted. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - Introduction 2 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Has been a very faithful car to me, save for the cambelt housing disintegrating a few thousand miles ago (eek), requiring a tow from the RAC and a replacement cambelt, but fortunately no further damage to the engine. I won't be relying on Ford's 100,000-mile service interval for the cambelt in future! Part of me would like something newer, but I can't really justify it when the car (cambelt incident aside) still feels so smooth and remains economical. -
Ford Mondeo II (1996 - 2000) - Timax exhausts - any good? 18 Feb 2008 (Forum)
BTW - this car is on its original exhaust (from the front section back is one piece, and the silencers have Ford stamps). It's done nearly 8 yrs and 141,000 miles, so can't really grizzle. Advice and opinions welcome. Cheers DP -
Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 2001, 1.3 Endura - Re-program Remote key? 17 Feb 2008 (Forum)
When I turn the key to 0, the PATS light goes out. Does anyone know of any other instructions, or do I need to go to a Ford garage to get this done? -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - Surely this car can use any Diesel sold in UK ? 8 Nov 2007 (Forum)
Hello. I have a 2006 Ford Mondeo which has only done 20000 miles. The car has been giving trouble and has spent several weeks at the dealer having repairs done to it (under guarantee). This fixed the car for a few weeks, but then problems returned. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - Fuel range & MPG for Mk1 1.8 Zetec? 19 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Hi I have a Mk1 Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec Collection at the moment, and just wanted to know whether or not this model car had a reputation for being a bit thirsty? The reason why I am asking is because from filling her up, to getting to the fuel light coming on, i am only getting a range of around 275-290 miles, and that is with me driving normally, and not caning it anywhere. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 2001 1.8 petrol: pinking/knocking 10 Aug 2007 (Forum)
Car has just been serviced and local garage said problem fixed with new plugs. Apparently last service had put wrong plugs in. Guess what? Last service done by Ford... Car is still pinking as before, so does anyone have any bright ideas before I start spending silly money on diagnostics? Are there any sensors that might be playing a part in this, that I could easily replace myself? -
Ford mondeo part name needed 13 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Hi all, My 2004 Ford mondeo zetec 2.0 TDCI was vandalised the other night in my driveway. Whoever it was came armed with a screwdriver and tried to take off everything they could. I've a little spoiler (more like a lip on the boot) that they tried unsuccessfully to take but they did manage to take something else. -
Help buying a Ford Galaxy! 11 Mar 2007 (Forum)
I paid my deposit (by CC) and was then 'phoned to say that "there aren't any Galaxy's around at the moment" and to "'phone to discuss my requirements". Is it Ford or are these problems just created by brokers and dealers? Can anyone recommend a place where I can get a New Galaxy LX with parking sensors and metallic paint for close to £16.5k and no blarney?! Thanks guys. -
Ford Focus Instruments 7 Feb 2007 (Forum)
I've posted this problem before but I'm now concerned that its got worse so here goes! My 1999 Ford Focus 1.8 has been playing up on cold startup, the speedo and tacho have been zooming straight up to the maximum setting and back down as the car starts. This hasn't had any ill effects and it didn't happen all the time. -
Ford Focus Wheel change 24 Nov 2006 (Forum)
I notice from my focus handbook that 195/60X15 were an original option and my question is, how do ford deal with the slight differences in wheel/tyre sizes offered on new cars. Do they have different speed sensors or is it a matter of a software change to a constant in the speedo? Many thanks SR -
lights for driving abroad 8 Oct 2006 (Forum)
I have a 03 Plate Ford Mondeo.. and have found that the stick on light deflectors are not applicable to the mondeo as its a clear plastic headlight covering. The Ford handbook states that the headlights are to be adjusted for driving on the right. -
Ford Transit 100 T260 - lack of power 23 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Hi, I have a Ford Transit 100 T260. It has the 100bhp 2L Duratec Turbo Di diesel engine. The performance is causing me concern at the moment. At 70mph its gutless although if you put your foot own you can hear the turbo trying hard. -
Focus TDDI water pump 12 Aug 2006 (Forum)
My question is this: if it's only a small leak then would it be worth spending a few quid on radweld to see if that stops the leak? I don't want to do Ford out of business, but over £400 is an awful lot of cash and I can think of other ways to spend it.... -
