  IMHO Dunstable itself is the armpit of Britain, but compounded with traffic lights at 50 yard intervals in places and with reversable speed cameras (no road marking but those cameras with what looks like an infra-red light pointing face on to you) at either end of the town you really need your wits about you. Coming south yesterday, I was so worried about the cameras I nearly missed a set of red lights - 50 yards after the green ones!

  Good morning I have as Seat Alhambra I-tec which has been repaired due to a minor accident, despite a decent looking job the parking sensors and rear view camera no longer appear to work. They are supposed to activate automatically when reversing but no longer do so, my guess being as the sensors have not been re-attached. A thumb through the handbook says use the switch on the centre console, but no joy from trying this ??

  I’ll swear that on one of the demonstrators I drove both wing mirrors tilted downwards as a reversing aid when reverse was selected and I found the mirrors easier to use than the reversing camera. On the last ‘SR’ I drove I could only get the nearside mirror to dip and the other demonstrator has now been sold so I can’t convince my sceptical salesman that both mirrors tilted though I certainly used that on the driver’s side to assist me park between two other cars.
