Shelley Pearson To race at Flame and Thunder 2010 22 Oct 2010 (News)
The 27 year-old Northamptonshire racer recently joined the ranks of the Top Fuel elite, securing her licence with a show-stopping 4.98 second pass, instantly catapulting her into the record books as the fastest female driver in the UK and the second ever fastest licence run in Europe. Clearly elated with her time, Shelley was quick to praise her supporting cast and thank them all for their efforts. 'I'm delighted for everyone in the team that we got such a great final run,' she said. -

Lamborghini Gallardo production ends 28 Nov 2013 (News)
The final Lamborghini Gallardo has rolled-off the production line in Sant’ Agata, bringing to an end to the Italian manufacturer’s most successful car. During its 10-year run, 14,022 Gallardos were built, dwarfing numbers of all other cars built by the iconic supercar manufacturer. The Gallardo was launched at Geneva in 2003, coinciding with Lamborghini’s 40th anniversary, and was the second all-new model under Audi's ownership of the company. -
Sainsbury’s cuts fuel costs by 3p per litre 29 Oct 2013 (News)
Chris Biggs, who is in charge of buying the fuel distributed by Sainsbury’s, said: "We are always looking at ways to help our customers save money, especially in the run up to Christmas. We know that fuel is a big part of the weekly budget for many households so we hope this cut will be welcomed by drivers across Britain." These are the latest fuel price cuts in a series of reductions by major supermarkets including Asda and Tesco. -

Car crime 'curbed by Nissan youth project' 29 Nov 2007 (News)
Rehabilitating young people who have committed vehicle crime is the aim of a course from car manufacturer Nissan. The project, which teaches the dangers of a life committing such offences, is run by prison officers Dave Phelan and Neil Dainty. Its aim is to "keep youngsters on the straight and narrow after their time in prison", the firm stated. Nissan has received plaudits for its programme, which has been vigorously researched using vehicle crime statistics and information from all over the world. -
'Win-win' situation as latest Audi SUV is unveiled 2 Nov 2007 (News)
Audi has revealed that the car cuts carbon emissions and fuel consumption by more than 20 per cent. It added that the motor runs on an "extremely lightweight" engine - a 69 kg battery and a 40 kg motor. Audi commented that the vehicle combines higher power and torque with economy of fuel and lower carbon emissions. -
