Brilliant value

Picked up a pre reg estate for an excellent price when probably looking to get a focus estate. Got more spec compared to the focus and several thousand pounds left in the bank. Excellent engine, with plenty of power and flexibility, but we struggle to better 50mpg which is bit disappointing. Loads of space for passengers and luggage and has been completely reliable. Ride and handling (particularly the steering) have always been somewhat disappointing, but have just swapped the standard 17 inch wheels to 16 inch and it has been transformed - Steering far more accurate, ride much better and handles typical roads better as it doesn't get thrown about by the bumps any where near as much - Avoid 17 inch wheels!! It's now doing everything we could possibly expect of it and with quite a few years left on the warranty it should keep on doing it too!
