Overall reliability

The most reliable car I have ever owned in 45 years motoring.

Although I paid list price, I got £2000 trade-in for a 17 year old Citroen by courtesy of the Sc***page Scheme, and the first annual service was free of charge at the supplying dealers.
The car has now covered almost 16000 miles and has been totally trouble free, using no oil or water between services. I only open the bonnet to top up the washer reservoir and to remind myself what the engine looks like.
As pensioners, my wife and I appreciate the ease of entry and the high driving position. The height adjustable drivers seat enables both of us to find the perfect setting, even though I am 6 feet tall and my wife is only 5 feet 1 inch.
Unlike many cars, the Sirion achieves the "official" overall figure of 44mpg in everyday motoring.
I intend to keep the car for at least the 5 year warranty period. As long as it continues to give such good service, there is no reason to consider a change.
The Sirion may no longer be available new, but I would still recommend it as a good used buy.
My only gripe, and it is a very small one, is that the automatic version is ONE GRAM of CO2 into the next highest tax band!
