Hello everyone - newbee poster here but long standing fan of this forum.

I have scuffed my car and am looking for quotes. I came across a company called Axioma who quoted roughly £200 to fix.
Can't seem to attach pictures but its a scuff to the side of my bumper, going a bit to the wing as well.
Anyone come across Axioma before / used them can comment? Read more

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a supplier for the centre exhaust section for my car, which will need a replacement to pass it's next MoT?

I've done well up till now with National tyres, but they and all the usual suspects (even online) no longer stock the parts. Have also tried owners forums but no joy to date. I did find a couple of suppliers in Germany but neither will ship 'bulky items' to the UK even if I offer to cover carriage charges.... Read more

A 1986 car on here. Cheered me up a bit. Thanks.

If you get a stainless steel (presumably full) system done, that'd perhaps be an additional reason to rust treat the car, if you dont/havn't already....

Hi, hope someone can advise?

I purchased a vehicle from a Jaguar main dealer and was not told that the vehicle was an import nor does the service history add up as the vehicle was then registered in uk in April 18 (some 18 months later than the Dec16 first reg) then serviced By Copart LTD in May 18 at 211 miles ??? something sounds very fishy and other dealers now wont take as part exchange!! ... Hi....

At the last main dealer service in January I was told that all the brakes were around 75% worn so I planned to replace them all later in the year. Today however I can hear a grating noise on and off as I’ve been driving. Car is a 2018 with 33,000 miles on the clock.

My question is: Is this grating noise the sound of the discs being damaged or is it a warning mechanism of some sort to tell me that the pads need replacing?

Have you seen the size of the manual?!!

I just checked my Accord manual looking up "B" for brakes in the index at the back and it advises:-

"If you hear a continuous metallic friction sound when applying the brakes, the brake pads need to be replaced. Have the vehicle checked by a dealer."

Hello. So I'm wanting to get a full exhaust kit on my car.
YES I know it's a diesel blah blah. But I want some sound on my car..
My question is would my car output some decent sound (better than stock lol) or not as I still have the DPF intact?
Yes I know I can have the dpf removed and it would make a huge difference but the thing is my car is already remapped and I heard you have to remap your car again when you get a dpf delete.
Side note: My car is already remapped and the EGR is deleted.
Below is the the kit I would install: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114130039273 Read more

I have concluded this thread as it seems to have become a dead end and it will prevent any further bad feeling and condemnation.

Hi all. Pretty quick question

Got a second hand clio a couple of weeks ago. Within a few days it threw up an oil pressure fault. It has been back with the trader for the last week while he attempts to have it repair. Today I text him for an update and also floated the prospect of a right to reject refund if it cannot be fixed.... Read more

Your right to reject the car under the CRA (Consumer Rights Act) lasts for 6 months, not 30 days.

Demand a full refund of what you paid. Do it in writing or email....

Hello Paul. I’m not local to Byfleet, and it’s not the local Porsche dealer about a mile away from Cartronics which I saw as I took the unit down and collected it on my motorbike. Saved a lot of time filtering slow traffic on M25.

Hi all

I'm looking for some recommendations on an automatic family car.... Read more

The globally ubiquitous Stellantis powertrain of the 1.2 puretech engine and reliable maintenance-free Aisin EAT6 gearbox is found in many family cars, especially Peugeots, Citroens and Vauxhalls in the UK. I'd avoid anything earlier than 2019, because their Dayco cambelts were prone to crumbling, especially if cheap non-spec oil was used. We are very happy with our Peugeot 2008.
