Just wondering what people's responses would be. If you had the choice between average spec c. 2002 Focus and a Fiesta, both in similarly good condition and same mileage, what would you choose? Read more
So the UK is still near the lower levels for deaths and injuries on the roads of Europe. A better comparison would be with Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Read more
Amazing in the UK. You can be fined for eating an apple whilst driving, but if you are trying to use a touchscreen, that is OK.
The introduction of Bradford's clean air zone (CAZ) is an important step in reducing air pollution levels in the city. New geometry dash regulations mean drivers of old, polluting trucks, minibuses and taxis will have to pay to get downtown. Read more
Our Micra had a bulb out in the 3rd brake light, never noticed it. Garage fixed it FOC.
Lucky you, I had one LED fail on my high level brake light, resulting in an MOT advisory. The next year, the whole damn thing had failed. MOT station told me it was a pass as it didn't exist............................................................................................
Can anyone tell me what the minimum rear brake thickness is for a Hyundai i20 2010 ??? Read more
Minimum pad thickness for MoT is 1.5mm or to wear indicator. Suggested to change when 3mm left.
My Citroën AX, I had new brake disc and pads few months ago, few days ago, I heard a faint noise from the suspension at the front because of my hearing problem hard to diagnostic where it is. I have found it is the strut damper is leaking and slight loose. Today it has been refitted new springs and dampers. Now when I touch the pedal it judders and vibrate to the steering badly. Went back to the garage again, they confirmed that I need new disc because of the old suspension has effected the brake disc alignment.

I'm looking to replace my VW Golf 1.9 TDI and I want to purchase from a garage/trade with a max price of £7k. Ideally looking for a petrol and something cheaper to run.
I was wondering what people think of this Swift - www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202208178886049? I drove it and its seems nice but I can't image how it would feel at speeds of 70+mph on a motorway. I take short motorway trips.
Also, thoughts on this Leon please - www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209209924791?
The Leon is cheaper and not that much older so that appeals to me. Should the extra mileage concern me? Is it fair to assume that the Leon would be much more comfortable? Read more
I had the previous generation Swift a car or 2 ago, mine was the sz5 4x4 version, had it from new for 3 years, nothing ever went wrong, handled like a dream and "went" well when one or two up, seriously thinking about a swift sport next in a year or so's time...

You could have given him / the course / and the company running it a bad review, if all of the above was true. ...
Hi all
I want to replace my 2012 Honda Jazz, great car but too small and needs more pep in the engine. Something I have talked here before but COVID, rising costs, the global economic crisis delayed my plans. I mainly drive around suburbia/commute to work with occasional long distance trips every school Holidays (and its here where I think my Jazz lacks). ... Read more
If you think the HRV has a lack of power, that would probably knock all the Totota Hybrids off the list as well.
The HRV, like the Toyota Corolla, CHR, Yaris Cross etc. uses a CVT transmission. This means that revs match demand rather than the speed of the car. This gives an impression if the car not accelerating when it actually is because the engine note doesn't change. Also, as it revs first before increasing speed, many drivers instinctively back off at that point. They aren't actually that slow but if you don't like the way it operates, the only alternative is to buy something else....
3 years ago we helped the wifes uncle replace his 2003 Fiesta. He had owned it from new and had covered under 34,000 miles in those 16 years. It had been serviced every year and when cleaned the bodywork actually looked OK....
