The anti roll bar serves a specific and definite purpose, to keep the outside wheel on the road when you go round a bend.
The only wheels I have seen off the road on a bend have been on the inside ??...
With 2.5K to spend, l'm looking at small/medium (petrol) estate cars. To be used for general local duties, occasional longer journey's & accommodate a couple of medium size dogs The Ford Focus/Vauxhall Astra route seem to be in short supply, so l'm considering other offerings; which are:

The water pump osmosis issue and general water ingress into ECU also affects the Focus and other cars based on it such as the Volvo S40/V50.
Didn't know that Huawei makes cars too!
It really will be all about the interior environment and "entertainment" rather than how the vehicle drives.
*Sigh*...
Impossible to be certain but any idea when, if prices will become sensible again ? Obviously dealers are after as.much as they can get but at the moment it's crazy. Also not been offered matching increase in p/x offer. I am looking at simple petrol engines. Read more
I know someone who got a good pre reg deal on a Fiat Tipo estate but I think it was more to do with it being a diesel model as to why the dealer was competitive on price.
Not sure the estate is needed here, the OP is looking at a Kia Venga/Hyundai IX20, neither of which is an estate. And as it happens, the boot on the Tipo hatchback has exactly the same capacity as the two Koreans!. ...
Hi,
Looking for someone to help me delete the air quality sensor on a passat b6.
Usually the sensors I come across had positive, negative, and signal and can determine wich is wich on the wiring.
I need help with the values for this circuit or maive values of the sensor so I cand put a resistor on it and keep it at a fixed value.
The main problem I'm having is no heat. Climatronic apparently works ok. No errors on air flaps. Only error is the air quality sensor wich is reported as defective by vcds with no other details
Thank you. Read more
Thank you,
That's what I was thinking. Wanted to eliminate the easiest things on the list.
Guess I'll be getting the hose and start unpluging the interior radiator
Thank you
My TV is a fairly basic Bush around 10 years old. I have checked the rear and there is a USB port along with those colour coded circular ports (red, white and yellow). The TV itself is not Bluetooth (AFAIK).
I'm finding that if I'm watching it, often I can hardly hear parts where there is dialogue, so turn the volume up. But if there is then explosions, gunfire, etc, it is too loud. So I was wondering if it would be feasible to get some kind of speaker near where I sit?. I don't really want to run wires round the living room if I can help it, so I'm wondering if there is some means to connect a speaker wirelessly to the TV?. I will hopefully get a new TV within the next year, and I can manage the way it is, but just wondering if it was possible to improve things in the meantime.... Read more
Just to update, I got some Amazon vouchers at Christmas. So seeing as I wasn't paying for it, I decided to order a sound bar and give that a try. Wasn't a particularly expensive one (but had decent reviews), so fingers crossed it does what I want and if not, I'm not out of pocket!
Hello BBD, I have a sound bar connected to my tv via an optical cable. The whole thing is really good. You can pay very little or lots. I cant remember what I paid for our Sony unit but it wasn't that much. Also I am a bit deaf now which resulted in arguments about the volume level so I bought some Avantree wireless headphones and connected to the tv via an optical cable too which means I can have volume level 18 on the headphones while others in the room can have volume 13 from the sound bar simultaneously. Very clever. Can even connect the headphones to my i phone. Some technology is really goos and useful....

Delays still remain, some manufacturers are slower than others.
Ford are struggling, still quoting November and December for some models,
Dacia is 4/5 months across the board as per the salesman’s quote to a friend ‘April is the earliest you can expect a Sandero, more likely May’.
Toyota lead times are the shortest around for most of the models they sell.
