Until there is an EV at the cost I want, with the size I want, with the range I want, with the perfomance I want and with the spec I want, it won't be happening for me.
Hello, has anyone had leather cracking on their Astra leather seat. After only 24000 miles, I suddenly noticed that the bolster on driver's seat (the base part where you sit) nearest the door, has cracked. Is it a whole new seat cover or can that bit be recovered?? Thanks!! Read more
Many thanks i'm sure you are right, especially it only being a Vauxhall.I was surprised about Mercedes, mind you!!
Opel/Vauxhall leather used to be quite good quality - but perhaps too soft on the bolsters as the driver's door side bolster wore on mine, but over 100,000 miles.
Given recent events in the Channel Islands I do hope people think long and hard before buying any French cars or going on holiday to France. Please do not support those who would cut off power to hospitals and nursing homes and attempt to blockade our ports!

Morning All,
I was looking for some advice, please don't judge, I didn't really know what I was doing and I probably screwed this up royally..... Read more
A popular taxi - some local hackney carriage offices do have odd requirements regarding MOT tests. Did you HPI it?
Now when you get the new V5C it no longer shows the previous keeper's name and address making enquiries more difficult.
Odd how as the other VAGs get more angular with the latest 'design motif', this Skoda gets more rounded (at the front). Definitely an improvement on the previous one, and dare I say better looking than all the three cars on the same latest VAG platform. Even if 'orange lolly' colour! Read more
Power steering systems have continuously evolved to keep up with technological advances in conventional automobile manufacturing. Although Fnaf power steering began as a hydraulic system, it has gradually evolved into the electronic system it is today. Further advances will continue to drive change as the automobile evolves.

Retailers are trying to make up for the lack of sales in 2020 due to motorists staying at home. My annual mileage was half my normal. It was annoying seeing petrol so cheap but nowhere to go!
Just as I expected when we can travel the price shoots up. Asda beat them all. That is where I go. Never refuelled on a Motorway in my life ( I am 73).
Hi I’m not sure if this thread is in the right place so it’s a long bizarre story, so basically we was in a car accident on 27th March at 17.39 the other driver who was actually breaking covid restriction laws at the time pulled out and his the back left passenger door.
Now we’ve never been in an accident and sidi t know what to do or what was going on we was in total shock the driver comes over and the first thing he says is don’t phone the police. Then he wants us off the main road we were still in so much shock we just went along with it.... Read more
Hi so I contacted the IFB and I got a pay out cheque this morning and I’m confused because they were saying only a week ago they wouldn’t pay out because of the footage but I explained everything to the IFB and then this with you having worked in the motor insurance industry I was wondering does this mean they were found to be fraudsters as we’ve had no emails or anything just the cheque with a minimal letter. Thanks.
Looking to buy an MG TF which all have space saver spare wheel, have they been covered in RTA/ construction and use legislation i.e. are they legal?
Secondly I hate them they look as safe as a chocolate teapot in a foundry, I want a proper spare wheel. Problem the TF has different width tyres front(195) and back(215) plus the tyres are directional meaning four spare wheels.... Read more
I’ve previously owned an MG tf . Can’t say I was actually concerned about the space saver , never used it . It’s legal and correct for the car . I would be more worried about the correct spec and make of tyres fitted , which is critical for the nimble handling of the car . If you’re serious about purchasing one of these , there are far more important issues to check . Also join the MG owners club.
Radios fitted to late Vag models only have one power supply cable . I would suggest select menu and settings on the screen to see what software version is installed. There have been loads of revisions on these.
