Idly watching some of these dash cam clips on you tube which, tbh , a lot of aggro could be avoided if the dash cammer, was the bigger person and just let it go, anyhoo, I’m sure you’ve all seen the car in front takes umbridge at being honked at and decides to take action usually by brake testing the driver behind even coming to a complete stop daring the car behind to run into the back of them, so what would happen in this scenario? would there be any defence if it was shown that the other driver made a dangerous manoeuvre and the car behind ran into the back of them?, especially as it’s all on film... What annoys me is the number of these sanctimonious prigs who pull off a roundabout into the outside lane of a dual carriageway

Price it at the minimum you're prepared to accept and don't take any offers.

All the above-mentioned points, but I just wonder if potential buyers may be wary of buying privately at a time of lockdown. Used-car interiors must be a likely source of infection, so you may need to think about decontamination - which I would hope any respectable trader would have done before sale....

6 months into used car ownership from a main dealers I have a small problem. The handbrake release mechanism dosen’t always work properlly. I am told to bring it in, they say Mercedes run the warranty but I thought the contract was with the seller I.e the dealer. Read more

IIRC, the Mercedes used car warranty is actually more of an insurance against components going wrong. It's unusual in that it includes some items of wear and tear not covered by other be warranties.

I think it is operated by Mercedes or their insurance arm....

Railroad.

The Yaw Rate sensor measures the vehicle's direction around its vertical axis. It also measures the rate of change. It is found in the centre of the vehicle fixed to the floor. The information from it is used for the GPS system, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Adaptive Cruise Control. They're pretty reliable. I've never heard of one having failed, but there's always a first time of course. Also needed for ACC is the front sensor in the front grille. It measures the distance from obstacles ahead just like radar. Make sure this sensor is clean and unobstructed.

I had my latest eye examination and eyelea injection this morning, and also a nice chat with the Consultant.

I am still ok for driving, not borderline yet and feel ok about driving, but there are signs of deterioration.... Read more

I seem to remember there being a response to a simliar thread a long time ago that there was no requirement to notify the DVLA until the condition becomes "so bad that one can't drive". That's completely false, as it contravenes S. 94 (RTA '88). Did you notify them? If you've passed all of the required vision tests (Snellen, FOV) then you will have no problems. It's also on the list of notifiable conditions, as published by the DVLA (https://www.gov.uk/health-conditions-and-driving/find-condition-a-to-z)

I (personally) am in a different place to that......

Autocar have analysed last years car sales and it's been a good year for Toyota , Tesla and Skoda.
Generally speaking buyers traditionally buying French and Italian cars are turning to Asian and Volkswagen products. Read more

You can make good money on going for volume and small margins, just need to have the right product and be able to move with the market.

You certainly can (just look at VW [as a brand not Group]). You won't get the ROI to keep investors or management happy though.

Is there anyway he can be ip blocked to stop accessing this site as he's either a troal or has serious mental health issues. I'm going to assume the later as its always the same nothing new. This isn't the place to gey help all ut does is winde up the regular members. The fact that he shows great resentment towards others that have what he doesn't but feels everyone else should suffer for his misfortune in life isn't healthy for him or others on here. Read more

I am 73 and applied to renew my license for a second time in Dec 2020 following a reminder. My birthday is 23Feb2021.I returned a medical permission to contsct my GP if needed. There has been no change to my health since my first over 70s re-issue and I am fit and well. I have not received my license as at 22June2021. I have tried all methods to contact DVLA, phone is always busy, automatic reply to emails not followed up, complaunts system not accessable etc. Can I still drive while waiting? Please advise.
