September 2020
Hi HJ & Team,
I just thought I would give some feedback on the latest survey you have sent out (received today 10th Sept 2020) for readers/drivers to complete.
Being honest, I found the survey a total waste of time and suggest the findings from it will be total nonsense. (This is NOT a complaint).
The thinking behind my comments are:
You ask that we complete One answer for each COLUMN??
In my opinion, it should have been ONE answer per ROW.
By answering as you suggest is producing a totally different outcome, ie
Ref electric cars, I personally would not have an electric car given to me, I am in no way attracted to them, however, when the survey takes my answers into account it will think I like them because of the way the survey is structured.
Ditto for the rest of the survey.
So for me, a pointless exercise resulting in a false outcome.
Nb Or was that the aim?
Please take these comments as constructive not destructive and I hope you see what I am saying.
Best wishes
Paul

If it wasn't the alternator...
Judging by the type of MOT failures on HJs website, could those 62% not be bothered to check the condition of their tyres?
Perhaps with all the electronic gizmos, the 62% are too lazy or can't be bothered until the autonomous "systems" tell them to do something.

Mine's serviced by the Hyundai main dealer. Always do a great job. I'm just about to renew my service package after a 5 year free package. Approx £1200 for 5 years servicing, including MOTs and the servicing is very thorough, with many items changed regularly. And this is for a large limo. I can pay monthly, about 25 quid over 48 months. Great service and value. I think people who have problems or huge costs bring it on themselves.
Colleague went to a Ford dealer yesterday to order a new Fiesta Titanium X , none in stock in any colour , earliest anticipated date December.
Then asked about a Focus, again none available new until late October.
New Kuga? December delivery.
Enquired on my behalf regarding a Grand Tourneo Connect, none available, right had drive builds not scheduled to be built until 2021, likely delivery date of May 2021.
In stock?
Ranger, Ranger raptor (think it’s the same with some extra body kit), mustang, Tourneo Courier, Puma and last of the old shape Kuga.
Very short supply Mondeo, Fiesta ST line, Galaxy, S Max and Tourneo Connect

I have a Niro PHEV with which I am delighted . I charge at home at a cost of ca 15p per kwH.
I chose the PHEV because of Range Anxiety of pure EV's. I am further encouraged that my choice was the correct one now but purely on the cost of charging at the likes of service stations.... Read more
