Stupid gimmicks that nobody wants! I am the safety feature behind the steering wheel. And i don't brake when a crisp packet blows across the road in front of my car. This is why cars are so expensive!! Too much electronic troublesome rubbish. Read more

The sooner cyclists have registration numbers and insurance, the better for them and us. Basically when you cycle it's like driving a car with no insurance and it's against the law to do that, incase you are involved in an accident. So what's the difference. Cycle insurance will protect the cyclist it's a no brainer.
If you travel on the road you should be registered and insured.

When I bought my Jag XJ 2017 from the dealer the Satnav and TV was working. Satnav works but does not gives live updates. When I got it home I found they had taken out the SIM card. They sent me a new one from UBIGI which did not work, I contacted UBIGI and they said they do not support my model. I bought the car last Dec and Jaguar dealership in Basingstoke have been useless in helping.

Can someone please recommend a data only SIM that would work thats not going to cost a fortune each month. Read more

My wife’s new car was delivered today, from Sc***horpe via Carwow (we are in Birmingham). It’s a y20 Yaris Hybrid, replacing another 7 year old Yaris Hybrid. She got a very good deal through Carwow, possibly because there’s a new Yaris out soon, and maybe dealers want sales at the moment so are offering good prices.

The whole thing was very easy and the dealer very good, finding exactly the car she wanted and an excellent deal. ... Read more

I changed my 4 year old Aygo earlier in the year. It was leased but effectively had 1 years worth of leasing costs in equity, an unexpected bonus given monthly costs and deposit were low to start with. My conclusion was that used car prices had gone up significantly for the right car. I.e small, cheap to run.

If Boris gives us £6000 to buy an electric car and they all cost £6000 more than the equivalent petrol car, I think I see a problem. Read more

Agree with your sentiments, John, but unfortunately human nature is to live for the present and the immediate future. Coming generations will have to solve their own problems and will presumably rely on science & tech to come up with answers. Personally (motoring connection) I have always preferred vehicles with low consumption figures, driving them fairly gently. Until there were so many that their combined exhausts became a public nuisance.

Just now many of the bored, frustrated or unemployed younger generations seem to be more concerned with what people did 200 years ago, destroying memorials their ancestors put up because it seemed a nice idea, at a time before P-C had been invented. It's because it's 'summer' under lockdown, and an incident in Minnesota has provided a trigger....

Hi,

My son has cracked the lens on his 2004 Fiesta headlight, we got a replacement from the scrappie but whilst driving it would just go off intermittently and when giving the connector a wiggle a sound similar to a small electrical motor could be heard.... Read more

. Standard lights have an adjustment switch on the dash , next to lighting switch , if fitted .The replacement light could be faulty . It may be possible to swap out the adjustment motor from the old headlight

Thanks I'll have a look.

Hey, i've a got a digger for a week and I realise I can use red diesel. BUT every petrol station I went around Twickenham doesn't sell it.

Anyone knows any petrol station not far from Twickenham that sells red diesel?... Read more

I use red in my compact tractor. Luckily we have a small forecourt near us that sells it from the pump.

It wouldn't be worth me having a tank of it here, as I get through so little, so would probably just get regular diesel if the local place didn't sell it....

I am reading about Kabuki, traditional Japanese popular drama with singing and dancing performed in a highly stylized manner. A rich blend of music, dance, mime, and spectacular staging and costuming, it has been a major theatrical form in Japan for four centuries. Guyz What are you reading? Read more

The exhaust is blowing at the front flange

One of the three bolts is sheared, and one of the others has very poor access, so its loose and the gasket blows out after a while. TBH I quite like the muscle car impersonation but you can have too much of a good thing, and it now needs re-done.... Read more
