Another crime that the users of cloned number plates will be immune from prosecution for, and more hassle for the poor people they've cloned the number plate from. Read more
I like that they’re being different by offering comfort as a priority. There’s a bit too much emphasis on sportiness these days, especially for typical UK roads. Read more
Hi
I was replacing my brake pads for the first time and my Caliper guide pin was really tight, put more torque on it and it snapped, I managed to get the remainder of it out but no idea where to get a replacement part in the U.K..
Also side note, one of my brake pads are stuck on and I can’t get it off any tips?

I note that Delphi state that their brake grease should also be kept well away from any rubber components; their comments on copper grease are mainly concerned that it should not be used on the back of brake pads, use on pins and sliding caliper guides is not specifically discouraged....
Hi. I’m trying to find a a front bumper splitter for my 2015 Astra 2.0L Bi-Turbo. I have bought the passenger side splitter from a company on EBay but they don’t have the drivers side. Anyone know where I can get one from?

Have you tried Vauxhall dealer . They can usually supply parts for cars they have made .Yes I’ve just got hold of one from a Vauxhall dealer. Substantially more cost wise but needed doing.

As this is an automatic - does this car have a transmission fluid cooler built into the radiator?
This can be an issue with an older car as with this sort of radiator it can fail effectively joining together coolant and transmission fluid cooling systems....
Just ended up buying a 10 year old Mazda 3MPS car which is brilliant with 70,000 miles on the clock however the undersurface of the car has some significant rust patches.
Phoned a rustproofing outfit who advises that it would cost about £600 for the work!
Do people know of any other more cost effective alternatives?
Location no bar although I am located in the south east near London.
Or is it simply a matter of scraping the rust away then coating it with any rust proofing material.
Any idea which material works best for this??
Thanks

As Catsdad mentions you need care choosing and using ramps, but its not rocket science.
The issues will be approach angle and the ramps slipping away from you on the hard concrete ground....
I am looking for help with a very new (possible) issue. On my way home tonight my car (14 plate Insignia 1.8 petrol) started going funny in the 1500-2000rpm it's like it starts stuttering and almost cuts out but then nearer 2000rpm is fine. It appears it does it at will as there's no pattern to it. A side that is yet to be resolved is a coolant leak (been on a pressure test for 2 hours without finding a leak) which needs topped up as only half full and I think (will double-check later tonight) the engine oil needs topped up. Could the coolant and/or the possible requirement of engine oil cause the stuttering? The car is booked in for a service 2 weeks on Friday but wondering if I should get it done sooner? Any/all help appreciated, thanks. Read more
Sorry to be alarmist, but coolant and oil loss, taken together, might indicate a leak where these two meet, such as an oil cooler or a head gasket.
I assume there's no sign of cross contamination?...

As I pointed out previously the timeline of alleged offence on 06 June (a Saturday), insurance proved to standard for release of vehicle on 08 June (Monday) with NIP served on 11 June (Thursday) is very tight. It implies the NIP was posted on 10 or 11 June, ie issued more or less automatically and before any mistake that might affect the process came to light. ...

My point being that the batteries are contributing to forward motion, and not, as above ‘baggage’.
That is so often misunderstood - I think you clarified it very well.
I was in London this afternoon in a Jag XJL on my way to work. I wasn't driving, I have a chap to do that for me. We were following quite a visible motorbike, which had to brake sharply when someone ran into the road. My chap stopped OK, but a Range Rover following us closely didn't stop and ran into the back of the Jag. Nobody was hurt (but I haven't been tested for whiplash yet) but there's damage to the Jag which I don't think will polish out. A bit awkwardly, the driver of the Range Rover sort of works for me as well. I don't know what the damage to the RR was.
Do you think that the insurers will deal with this as knock-for-knock, 50/50? Read more
