If a car is on finance and the person paying the finance receives the VC5 documents and log book etc and has their details on it, would the registered keeper or finance company receive the NiP first? Read more
Hi All,
Took my car to the main dleaer clutch slipping, got it back still slipping. Booked another appointment to have it looked at. While waiting for that appinmtent the clutch seemed to have largly corrected itself. From slipping all the time, badly, to slipping very slightly every 2 hours of driving max. ... Read more
Okay thanks for the feedback guys :)
I have just returned from a run in the MG when I experienced juddering from the front suspension/Steering. On inspection I found the front nearside tyre had started to laminate and expose the wire casing underneath. My local tyre specialists explained that my 'made in England' Dunlop tyres were probably 20 years old. Although my car had an MOT inspection a month ago it is surely a worry that old tyres on classic cars are being certified as road worthy when they should be scrapped after say 10 years. The recent news whereby cars over 40 years old will be exempt from an MOT is doubly worrying given that some owners have no idea how old their tyres are or how vulnerable they are driving them. Regarding idiocy on the roads, lorry drivers are not immune to it either. A29 near Hardham, the road goes over the railway line on a tight S bend. Usual signs up stating you may come across a vehicle straddling the road because the bridge width is so tight. Look it up on Google Earth, and marvel at how tight it is. The road really is unfit for HGV traffic but they use it as a short cut to avoid going the easier way via Worthing and the A24, home grown drivers and continentals alike.

Almost certainly. But do check most carefully if you are trying this apparent loophole. Be sure that the letter is the first one and not a reminder. Also be aware that it's not the date you receive the letter, it's calculated from the date it was posted.
