Ford Focus 1.8TDCi zetec 2009. When towing the temperature qauge will suddenly rise to max. but take foot off and goes straight back to normal. This is known for 2006/7 Fords per the fix in 2008 but Ford and local main dealers have no knowledge of this for my model or age of car. Can anybody give me details to pass on to Ford to fix this please. It has to be a Ford recognised fix as Ford will not talk to me unless I can give them their own references. Read more
Ford Main Agents have now traced the Ford Fix and it applies only to models made in 2006/07. They say there is no history of this fault on newer cars, despite the chatter on the internet. So the car now has to be plugged in to the Ford computers to see what is going on.
I am after the radio code for my 2002 Focus ST Radio is a 6000cd. The serial number is M247654.

For radios whose Serial Number begins with an "M", followed by a six digit number, you can use the following link to work out what your Keycode should be:
Whilst towing the temperature reading will suddenly go from normal to maximum and when I take my foot off it goes immediately back to normal.
Ford say they have no record of this fault for this car. The previous fix in 2008 for the same fault only applies to cars 2006/7 and no local main Ford dealer has any record of any car of this year having this fault.... Read more

Had this problem for a while, egr valve turbo...... Got diagnostic check and boost solenoid valve! Sounds quite expensive! But no got one of eBay for £40 took off air filter box and there it was easy 10 minutes for quoted £180. Running like a dream! Read more
well finally managed to get car down to my local quick fit for them to have a look at what was making the knocking noise on the rear end of the focus. turns out it is the rear lower arm, they said it has fractured where the anti roll bar bolt and bush set up goes through it, and it is this that is making the noise when i drive over bumps. had everything else checked and nothing else wrong on the back end.

Well, the rear toe being out can also affect the front toe, so I understand. They are both set together so that the wheels run perfectly in line on each side of the car.
However, as far as you're concerned, OP, I would suggest that probably only the rear would need to be done after the repair....
