Hi I have recently had my keys stolen in a burglary however I have paid a locksmith to open the vehicle and he has issued me with another key ?
Will the new key be just the same as the keys the theives have stolen or will the locksmith have changed the code ?
Am just bothered that they could gain access to my vehicle using my old keys ?
What can I do to prevent this ?
Is it a lock change or reprograme something ?

Its only a guess but I would expect you locksmith simply to have supplied a new key to match the original locks unless you specified otherwise. Our household policy covers us for lock replacement should keys be stolen in a burglary. Suggest you check policy.

I purchased a 53 plate Megane last month. There are a couple of issues with it. When I start it up it dies right away, until i give it some revs otherwise it will continue to cut out. When it idles cold it holds 1000rpm, after about 10 seconds the rpm needle drops to around 800rpm and jumps up and down, the engine idles poorly juddering slightly, the engine noise is slightly tinny and I'm sure i can hear hissing at the rear f the engine which is where the throttle body etc is. Not sure if this is just the air being sucked into the throttle or a leak.
I have replaced coils, plugs, TDC sensor, coolant temp sensor and cleaned the electronic throttle body twice and even ran some Cataclean through the fuel but have not managed to resolve the problem. My code scanner has found no codes in the ECU and therefore I have no idea where else to look. My only thought was the throttle body O rings may not be tight enough and there could be an air leak? There are no other air hoses that would cause this issue and there is no idle control valve on the throttle body as it's electric.... Read more
Could be a cam sensor fault or camshaft de -phaser (if fitted).May not flag this fault on a cheapo scanner.
i have a 2000 saxo vtr and the battery light keeps coming on have had the alternator and the battery checked and they are ok have done ignintion bypass as the power steering heater and rear window dimister stopped working you can hear the power steering motor still working when the engine isn't running have also changed the relay by the pump is there an other relay for these in the fuse box need help with this please

I'm always one for going for the bigger engine where there's a choice as so often you get more performance with very little loss in economy.
But it's a pity that Nissan won't offer the 1.6 engine in anything but top Tekna trim on the Qashqai. The list price of nearly £27,000 puts it into TESSA territory (There Exist Several Seductive Alternatives).
