Fortunately, I've passed my driving and riding tests. I'm not aware of any books that list the rules and what is expected in the tests. Why does the DSA not publish a set of rules so that people know how to drive during the test?
When I did my riding test I had to do a whole day of tuition to find out what I didn't know. This was expensive, time consuming and the tutors were awful. It turned out that there were only a few minor things that I didn't know and it was a waste of time and money. There was at least one qusetion I asked where the instructor couldn't even give me a straight answer, he gave me an answer that sounded like it came from a book and didn't really answer the question.... I've had this on my 2003 Pug 307. I cured it by making sure the PS fluid reservoir was filled beyond the max mark and also disconnected the electrical connector and gave it a thorough cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. The connection was dirty after ten years of no cleaning or maintenance.
Then put it back together and sealed it with this stuff:...
Already on sale in Oz. Why the delay to get it here? Suspect Honda UK wants to sell as many good looking ones before we have this one.

The HR-V is already on sale in Thailand. I saw 3 in my first 2 days here. I asked if Honda would let me have a drive via Honda Thailand, but Honda declined. The Jazz/Fit has been on sale here for at least 6 months. There's also a new 4 door 'City' version of it. I think they still have the 1.5iVTEC 120PS and 4 speed torque converter auto, like my 2nd generation City rental.

RT, Territory is much larger than Freelander2. Available with 4.0 litre 6 cylinder engine in addition to 2.7 V6D.
So more of a competitor to Discovery - but my point about Ford UK not needing/wanting competition during their ownership of PAG / JLR stands.
Good evening,
I looking into starting up a small car sales business. I have been buying and selling cars for over 20 years as a hobbie but now I'm looking into making a job out of it.
I have been to a few uk car auctions and brought 1 or 2 cars also but the buyers premium makes it very expensive. At the auctions traders seem to be buying cars a stupid prices so my question to you is are they claiming back the buyers premium?
I know if your Vat registered you can claim back the vat but I'm more interested in the buyers premium fee without the vat.
Surely the buyers premium is a service so it is tax deductible ?
On a auctions sales invoice the hammer price and buyers premium are separate .
Any knowledge is welcome as for 20 years I brought my cars privately so I am fairly new to car auctions. The new car tax rules make it harder to buy privately so I am looking into buying at auction.
Many thanks Read more
The local auction to me is manheim not Bca.
They have changed the amount of vehicles you have to buy to qualify for the discount from 12 to 52 vehicles a year.
Even with the discount on the buyers premium still doesn't make it a cheap place to buy cars so are the dealers claiming back the buyers premuim some how?
Please remember you pay a premuim on every car not per lot!!
Why does my petrol cap keep moving?
I think it's called a lack of spatial awareness or in plain language just being thick.
My Galaxy has had this problem for 2 years and the correct diagnosis has been missed by 3 different highly recommended garages! Perhaps they all thought me a soft touch and made a bit out of me on each occasion. Hence I thought I would share my experience.
The symptoms start with engine noise when reaching full lock on the steering. The engine labours rather heavily and runs unevenly when reaching full lock. The symptoms are worse when the aircon is engaged. As time goes on this starts to get worse and then the noise develops from a judder to more of a squeal. The noise starts to appear at all sorts of times when the engine is under load but at low revs, such as steering locks, straight after starting, engaging aircon. The noise comes and goes intermittently. At one point the noise got really loud when the belt tensioner started to knock on the tensioner travel stops whenever the engine was ticking over.... Actually, I wasn't an inexperienced driver. I recently did the motorcycle test as an experienced driver and a rider with over 12 months experience riding with L-plates. I guess these things aren't really a problem for new drivers....
