I've had this on my 2003 Pug 307. I cured it by making sure the PS fluid reservoir was filled beyond the max mark and also disconnected the electrical connector and gave it a thorough cleaning with electrical contact cleaner. The connection was dirty after ten years of no cleaning or maintenance.
Then put it back together and sealed it with this stuff:

A year and a half later, not had a single problem.
