Hello,

Hoping for an answer. The alarm on my 53 plate ford fiesta zetec keeps going off randomly. This only happens at night (usually between 0000-0400). I stop it with the remote key (keep it by the bed now!!) when I go down the car refuses to lock using the remote key or by putting the key in the lock. The locks just spring back open.

I've moved the car away from bushes as I know cats get under there at night and thought them running under car might be setting it off.

I really need an answer as to why its activating and why it wont lock!! my neighbours must be losing patience!

Any advice appreciated, it's driving me mad!! Read more

On my Mondeo who's alarm kept going off for no reason the fault was the alarm switch under the bonnet which was causing the problem.

Cure was to replace the switch. Could also have removed the connections and shorted them together, but would have lost the bonnet alarm function by doing this.

Not only is it oil-leaking its also a contrary starter - but only when I have had the roof down. After a few hours it just wont start. All the lights come on then battery light stays on. I'm putting roof down when engine is running. The car starts with bump and then starts the following day and thereafter as normal!! If its battery surely that would stay flat and car wouldn't start next day? Read more

Last year my mother, who is over eighty years old, paid over £400 for her car insurance. We did alot of searching on the internet yet that was the best figure we could find. This year we found insurance for less than £250 with LV, a very pleasant surprise! Read more
