I'm currently with the AA (Roadside Relay cover for two cars) renewal this year is £119.25 which seems to be expensive compared to other deals available.
I've only called them out once and wasn't impressed with the service so may change cover this year. Which company is best?

Friend of mine is looking for a new car. She wants a decent size ragtop with four good size seats. That's the normal bit.

She doesn't want anything "common" like a Vauxhall or a Ford.

She's owned a BMW and doesn't like the way other drivers treated her.

Final requirement: She's looking for something with a bit of style. Assume that any budget will be fine.

Hi there

My friend has 95 FTO GR. He has started misfiring and cutting out. He took it to a local garage and they suggested it was his valves. He has spoken to someone else who said different. Is there anywhere or does anyone know someone who is expert in FTOs in the east mids area.

Thank you

Aprilia is your man in this board. He knows plenty about FTOs. Let's hope he can help you.

Is it just me or is this becoming more and more common? I reckon on my M25 commute, I see at least one car a week blasting up the hard shoulder and carving its way back into the queue ahead .

Anyone else noticed this. Where are the rozzers when you need them?

Along with people who get in the incorrect lane to make up ground and then block that lane waiting to get back into their correct lane, these people should be prosecuted!

Cheers

Was in an airport coach stuck on a German autobahn in site of a slip road but no-one used the shoulder as there was a marked police car also in the queue. As the times of our flights got closer, the coach driver got out and went up to the police car-the two police men in it got out and waved our coach up to the slip road.

I have just been looking at pictures of the new C class interior and it struck me how poor the ergonomic design was inside.
Obvioulsy the quality will be there with a MB (hopefully) and to me the design is quite tatsteful but I have to say that having the heater controls down by the gearstick is not that ergonomic. Then I realised that it was also similar in the other German so called premium brands although with VW it is a little better in most of their models - the polo is particulalry good.
Maybe a little to presumptious for me to say this but I have to say that Honda seem to do a good job with ergonomics with Accord and particularly the S2000 and also the Civic although the interior design is questionable to alot of people - but you must admit it is pretty ergonomic.

Thanks for your reply.

I did have a side light that was out but even after replacing it the message still comes up. Thinking of disconnecting & reconnecting the battery.

Wonder if anyone could help with my weird problem :)

I noticed tonight my car was making a chugging sound, a bit like a train. It wasn't a mechanical sound or a knocking sound. It seems like a woosh or chug chug chug of air and it got faster as i went faster; easier to hear off the throttle too. I'm sure it was at the side of the car and not the engine bay.

My only thoughts are it could be air running past the tyres or air running past the mudflaps or contours of the car.

I also noticed a high tapping sound like stone on stone which gets faster as the wheels turn and wonder if that is a stone trapped in the tread of the tyre - but thought i'd mention it if the 2 were related :s

Any ideas?

Have a Rover 45 51 plate. About 2 weeks ago it overheated on a short motorway journey. Have topped up with coolant ever since but now seems to be drinking the stuff. Have been told its a possible radiator problem and to put some Radweld into it, though can't seem to find the obvious place to pour it into the radiator. Any suggestions please?
