No sweat. Not a lot of data around on these. It's not on the ATRIS CDs either.
When I was 17 I had a vauxhall viva. I loved that car with the rally spotlights I put on it and the cb radio in it.
I was just wondering does anyone ever use a cb radio in their car now?
For the life of me I cant remember the handle I used. I think I changed it to often.
Looking back, those spotlights were so bright you would have thought a couple of lighthouses was coming towards you. Read more
In the pre-licensed CB radio days I had a basic 40 channel Midland radio with a "burner" (amplifier) and a K40 mag antenna that I won at our local CB club. It took all the fun out of it when they legalised and licenced it, everybody had one and the airwaves became overcrowded and people started using the emergency channel 9 as a normal channel. I was delegated the handle, "Premium bond" because my first name is Ernie. I guess as it has died off a bit then it might be OK now, except for the fact that you'd probably fall foul of the law for driving without due care and attention if you used it on the go..
my dad recently bought a 03 plate 406 hdi with 50k on the clock. He upgraded from an x reg with 140,000. The mpg has dropped from around 48mpg on the x reg to under 40 on the new one. He told me the engine has more go in it and feels quite 'tight' still as hes run in plenty of new cars.
I was wondering if the mpg will increase with more miles and if theres anything that can be done to get the most out of his fuel like changing to fully synthetic oil etc?
He does around 35,000 miles a year so it makes a big difference to the fuel bill.

Yes, same here. My 50K C5 HDI 110 does about 43MPG. It only gets better on a long run i.e. all motorway jouney.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get my sunroof fixed.
It will tilt up okay but not slide back.
The sunroof does not sit flush with the car roof it protrudes a bit.
I am in the Manchester area.
Many thanks. Read more
Dont know about the sliding problem but the protrusion was a problem with our 214 and caused wind noise. Caused by rust build up under the seal. Started six years ago and it hasnt fallen apart yet.

Navman sat-navs have recently been sold to Mitac who make Mio - which may be good or bad for the future of Navman.
Hi all,
Going over to Liverpool this Monday night to watch Newcastle play Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup semi final, second leg (we're 4-2 down from first leg).
I've not been to Anfield before, and looking at their website, I can't really see where I can park the car, it looks to be residents only around the ground.
So, does anyone know where I can/should park the car? Don't want to find a ticket on it or bricks where once there were wheels!!
tia,
Lee.

Fazakerly Hospital is a very long walk to Anfield.
I presume you will be coming via the M6, In which case you could follow signs for Liverpool and St Helens on the A580.
Continue along the A580 toward Liverpool city centre. You will arrive at the ring road - Queen's Drive - continue across the traffic lights at this junction. The road goes under a railway bridge with Walton lane Police Station just past it on the left. Anfield Cemetery is now on your left. At the next T junction with Stanley Park opposite, turn left. (You will see Goodison Park - Everton's ground - on the right.) You can usually park on this road. The Vernon Sangster Sports Centre is further along on the right hand side. It's actually in Stanley Park.
Evening all.
Trying to help a neighbour sort out her interior light. It has ceased coming on when the driver's door is opened. Works fine with all the other doors. I can't find the switch that activates it - there's no sign of any plunger-type switch, or any thing else for that matter. Anyone know where it is please? Is it activated within the lock mechanism?
Cheers

Many thanks, Mark. Much appreciated.
I own a 2002 Seat Leon TDI SE 110BHP and have had it for several years. It has always been serviced at a main dealer and has been totally reliable.
It has now covered 117000 miles and Mass Air Sensor recently failed. I changed this part with a 3rd party replacement from GSF. The typical symptoms of loss of power, no turbo etc were corrected, but I have been left with an annoying misfire.
If I pull away from a junction and change into second I get a misfire between 1800 and 2000 rpm the engine/turbo makes an ?Err, Err, Err sound. After I pass 2000 rpm the car drives OK, if a little rough.
I have found if I start the engine and rev pass 2000 rpm the car will drive smother between this rev range.
I have changed the air filter, engine temperature sensor, fuel filter and the N75 valve. I have also run several tank fuels of fuel system cleaner through the engine. A Seat main dealer has also reset the ECU.
I would really appreciate any help with this problem.
Many thanks

17965 - overboost; common code, first check - every inch of those little vacuum hoses.

See what comes back; bit timeshort - more later.
What's your engine code?
A friend who have a MK3 1994 Ford Granada 2.5 Turbo Diesel manual gear-box with the clutch to the floor and a garage said 'the Clutch Master Cylinder that's failed but it could be the hydraulic release bearing in which case it would have to have the engine taken out'.
Is this correct that have to take the engine out ?
Your answer please.
Many thanks!
