Mk 4 Golf interior light. - mikem
Evening all.
Trying to help a neighbour sort out her interior light. It has ceased coming on when the driver's door is opened. Works fine with all the other doors. I can't find the switch that activates it - there's no sign of any plunger-type switch, or any thing else for that matter. Anyone know where it is please? Is it activated within the lock mechanism?

The switch is inside the lock mechanism and they are prone failure. Usually it's a problem with dry solder joints in the lock module. If that's so, here's a DIY repair guide.
