Is there a list of Ford alloy wheel styles anywhere?
There apears to be many (type A to type F) different styles of 16" alloy wheels for my Mondeo. How do I identify which are fitted to my car?

Aussie Ford advertising, now says Tonk a Kiwi because they have three one days against the Kiwis before the work cup though it was Tonk a Pom before today, good for a laugh, and good on Freddie and the boys for tonking a few aussies!

I know their sponsors make then wear all their carp baseball hats and junk but, now they are on a winning streak and well done! Could they now please try shaving and looking more like a team representing their country than a buch of chavs in fancy dress?
Yet another video of people driving insanely in horrendous conditions..

So does that mean that the trend for cars getting increasingly heavy, is, in some ways, a good thing - but the trend for fatter tyres is not?
Depends if you design a car for the use it'll get 1 day a year. Oops, I think I've just described the marketing model for 4x4's!!
I am hearing a constant clicking noise when the car is stationary.
I have worked the suspension up and down a few times but it still remains, but only in the middle setting(every 2 seconds or so)The LHM reservoir is full. The ride quality is superb and appears to be unaffected by the clicking.
I have a manual and have read most of it. I suspect it is the sphere on the front of the engine the needs replacing. Anybody know a bit more about it?
Also, the heater blows luke warm. I have flushed the system and used some of that flushing liquid from BMS but it is still the same.
Is it new matrix time?
Thanks in advance

This kind of thing is good for spheres if you can't afford a Pleiades one.

Xantia HDi. - Float on!
I've been considering a budget Sat Nav system for a while and noticed that our local Makro have a couple coming up in their next sale starting this Saturday. Both are made by Medion. One is a GoPal 210; the other is a GoPal 350 with TrafficMaster. However, both are priced at £99 each plus VAT. Does anyone here have any experience of either of these units? I'm not sure why they're both the same price when presumably the 350 is a better model? Or does anyone recommend any other makes/models at a similar budget? I know with these you get what you pay for to some extent, but for the amount of time I'll use it I can't justify spending more than £150 really. I like the idea of voice prompts and post code searches. Presumably I won't get European coverage with a system in this price range, would be helpful if I could get one though! Sorry for the long waffle - any help or comments greatly appreciated. Cheers! Read more
Medion doesn't actually manufacture anything - it rebadges products from specialists and distributes them through retail partnerships such as Aldi.
I recall one of its sat-navs a year or two back was the same rebadged model that was also sold under the Hewlett Packard name.
Information on Medion's after sales support and service is mixed - some are delighted and others not too happy.
See its website: www.medion.co.uk/

What\'s for you won\'t pass you by
Just seen an Alfa GT JTD , 05 reg for £13999 and a Mazda RX8, 55 reg for the same price on the Trade sales website. Are these prices fixed or is there any room for negotiation (no p/x)
What's the buying experience from here like.?? Read more
I can remember going with my Dad about 14 years ago or around then, the stock was mainly ex-high milege fleet cars or company cars. In those days high miles were frowned upon, do correct me if im wrong!

Its not what you drive, its how you drive it! :-)
My car was in being serviced today and I got a courtesy vehicle. It was a Mazda Courier crew cab pickup. Looked as if it was about 10 years old but I was quite pleasantly surprised by it. It had auto, air, and a basic but reasonable radio. It was rough and noisy but you expect that from a commercial vehicle. The interior was very basic with bottom grade trim and hard black dash. No oddments cubby holes, no cupholders but I really liked the thing. It was so basic that it gave me a feeling I had stepped back about 20 years. I was left with the impression that it would be very rugged and able to give good service at minimal cost for another 10 years. Not comfortable but dependable and cheap to run. I hope the shiny new model Hiluxes and Tritons haven't lost the basic simplicity and ruggedness of the standard Japanese one tonner. I am beginning to see why people are buying them instead of cars. Hi All,
I have just picked up a T3 Corolla Verso, with an imminent need for new rear tyres. The Dunlop Sport 3000s fitted now have only done 20k, so I'm looking for reasonable price, longer lasting and low road noise / max fuel consumption. Oh, and a decent amount of grip as this pleasant beasty doesn't seem to mind being hustled (for an MPV!) Not much to ask from a modern tyre, eh?
The hoops are 205 / 55 / R16V.
Thanks,
Madun. Read more
Costco are selling Michelin HP's in your size for £62 all in at the moment.
You're ticking along, 70-75mph on a national speed limit dual carrigeway. You're overtaken slowly, very very slowly, by a Honda Civic or a Volvo S40. A few hundred yards down the road you come up to a yellow Gatso camera, you see it and lift imperceptably to get down to 70ish when the pink fluffy dice ahead in the Honda/Volvo slows down abruptly due to some Pavlovian response to about 60 mph, causing you to have to have to brake needlessly, overtake then get overtaken again and so on down the whole pink fluffy dice road...................................makes me maaaad!!!!

but what would I say to a PC
who stopped me for doing 50?
You would explain politely that vandals had obscured the limit signs but you happen to know what they say, unlike the PC who must be new round here lad, aren't you?

Has anyone told the guys that you can't make Petrol from Rapeseed, but you can make Diesel.....hang on they'd never admit to that so I reckon they'll twist it round in the future...
Other than that, very entertaining....anyone who takes the show too seriously needs to see a doctor...
