Went to Arlington, E Sussex last night - Superstox, Stock Rods and National Bangers, plus a firework display. Haven't been for 20+ years and took my sons for the first time. It was a brillant evenings entertainment.
The bangers consisted of Mk2 Granadas, Jags, Volvo 240/760's and a Rover P4. I've always had a soft spot for the P4 and it was a sad end for this one - although the old girl lasted longer than most in the Destruction Derby.
There should be a law against it!

Any experienced Ebayers understand what happened here?

Looks like a bit of a pain for whoever was selling that. Some odd stuff does happen.
A quick look at the feedback of the winner shows 4 negs and nothing else. The person second was registered only today and has no feedback.
So either someone has a grudge against the seller and has effectively broken the auction, or someone is just playing around. Same result unfortunately.
There's a really good website here www.ebayfaq.co.uk/ that gives a heads up to a lot of the stuff that crops up using eBay.

Having a Fabialous time.
Hi people, Im hoping there is somebody out there that can help me and others when reading the posts.
I bought a 01 reg car from a large uk dealer only six months ago, since then it has been nothing but trouble (going wrong the first time within 24hrs of picking it up). To date it has been back to be repaired 4 times, and, its now gone wrong again! My wife carries our 2 children (2yrs / 6months) in the said car - so is loosing faith and wants to change it. The dealer dosent want to know and has offered us half what we payed for it. It goes without saying that I would like a full refund but DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IM ENTITLED TO EXACTLY.
Please help if you can Read more
[snip] if you don't like it, tough. Comments about moderation in e-mail. Mark.
I have a 1992 Volvo 960, 3 litre, 6 cylinder saloon with 120,000 miles on the clock. For the last two years I have had an intermitant misfire. The problem especially occurs when cruising and accelerating quickly. The whole car shakes initially and percists for a few miles and clears.
Its been to the main Volvo dealer numerous times without resolution. The plugs and coils have been changed.
No one seemsb to have a clue.

Hi all
I have recently got my Mk2 Golf GTI back from the repair shop, where a new passenger side wing, grille, bumper and passenger side lighting has been fitted. When I turn the lights on the passenger side light only goes to what I would suggest is side lights, where it is obviously dim and hasn't lit up properly. The drivers-side light is fine. Occasionally the passenger-side will suddenly light up to the full, main headlight (the problem will disappear), although there is nothing obvious that causes this to happen. There is a further problem, when the keys are removed from the ignition, the front lights stay on on the passenger side, but go off completely for the drivers side - the reverse of the problem with the main headlights.
I can take it back for repair, but the garage is quite far away and would entail a morning off work. If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem might be I'd be grateful if they could let me know. I've had a check for loose connections, nothing obvious so far.
Cheers

Sorry, repeated myself a little there, I've posted to a few forums and forgot that I had previously updated this thread.
I have found a couple of examples of dealers trying to charge an administration fee of £50 or so when someone buys a car from them. Do they really get more money from customers or is it just a nonsense which is waived ? I've never paid for the privilege of buying a car. Read more
When we had our site, you'd be surprised at just how many of our customers LIKED the fact, that our screen prices INCLUDED vat & that we didn't haggle on the £$£$£.Most van dealers would display a, somewhat smaller +vat sticker!!
It was much, much easier for them & us to make the transaction run smoothly this way.By making the pricing structure as complete as possible, everyone knew what was what.
Wonder what they'd think if we'd have asked for an admin fee, though!!

Is it still avialable, and in auto form as a brand new car, and if yes, where?

A perennial theme this as winter approaches, but I just wondered whether any Back Roomers had recent experience with the above - or is it still on the back burner ;-)

Yep - that's what I got told too. Tuning used to happen all the time but when the Cavalier SRi's were new. Now, I suppose having a supercharged V70 hitting someone wouldn't look good...mind you - neither would a notmal V70!
