Having read the "what's the fastest you've ever driven" thread, I was wondering what are the best and worst MPG figures people have recorded here?
My best was 56mpg in a polo 1.4cl driving from Stuttgart to Vienna at a constant 75mph- quite amazing!
My worst was 7mpg recorded over a 15 mile A road rant in my Golf vr6! Read more
Why do I sit for hours on country roads behind some guy swanning along at 25mph in his Rolls. Then when I finally get passed I'm faced with an idiot coming towards me overtaking on a blind bend in his Bentley.
Its the same car for goodness sake.
Then there I am on the inside lane of M4 doing 70mph and overtaking everyone in the outside lane is a Smart Car. Going down country lanes here comes another overtaking everything in sight, i'm not trying to say they drive unsafe, they just overtake everything. Do some cars make you fall asleep and others make you drive like Fangio? Read more
My mechanic is stumped. The dashboard lights and the head and tail lights on the right hand side of my daewoo leganza keep going out. I replace the burnt out fuse and all the lights work just fine but then a few days later the lights are all out again.
help please? I appreciate any and all advice.

Getting married this weekend and planning on having driving tour of Northern Italy, with a brief stop in Freiburg on the way down and Salzburg on the return. Driving an Alfa I will, of course, be taking in the Stelvio Pass (lovely winding alpine roads and a new wife? Hope the Bond baddies with the machine guns aren't reading this.)
Anyway, we are planning on using the minimum of money for accomodation to stretch our no longer huge Sterling/Euro advantage a bit further. When travelling in France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria I have always had good experiences with the Etap chain of hotels for clean, good value overnight lodgings. Does anyone know of an Italian equivalent to this chain of hotels?
Sorry to leave the question so late in the day, but it's rare I get to my pc at all these days due to my somewhat lengthy work hours.
Ta in anticipation

My garage is integral with my bungalow. There is access from the garage to the bungalow via a fire resistant door, which is spring-loaded towards the closed position. No doubt this is safest, but nevertheless it can be annoying. Would I be contravening any regulations if I fitted it with a catch or whatever to temporarily hold it open while I am carrying things through the door?

For Fiat.... reg A 123 DOG, which is my property to sell, is not subject to an HP or Finance agreement, and is sold as seen tried tested and approved without further warranty.
The vehicle remains the property of the seller if funds are not received as agreed.
Hi,
Most of the reviews say that this car is great for £6000 to £7000. Any problems with Daihatsu and or the automatic. 47 mpg average and 0 - 60 in 15 seconds. Very good, better than a lot from the class above.
Can anyone recommend Daihatsu?

Can't really add any more than I've already said, sorry. There must be someone here who can advise you better than me, but they don't seem to be coming forward atm.
Hope you get sorted. Good luck.

I wouldnt worry about it so long as the fans kicks in as i have an omega 3.0 and the gauge reads 101 before the fan kicks in then instantly it goes to 105 , or 107 with air con border line red mark . i had vauxhall check it and they said the voltage regulators on the dash are always playing up

I'd check the output voltage from the lambda sensor first.....but yes, an oil change does sometimes help!
When my sister purchased a new Suzuki Wagon R+ a year ago, there were roumours that Suzuki planned to fit the model with the Fiat common rail diesel in 1.2 or 1.3 format.
Can anyone confirm if this ever happened please?
