Should we go for the diesel or petrol Dacia Sandero Stepway?

We are thinking of purchasing a Dacia Sandero Stepway, and would like to know what is your opinion of the small petrol turbo engine versus the diesel? Our mileage is light. Would the small petrol engine cope with the air conditioning, or would you not bother?

The TCe 90 petrol suits the Sandero better than the 1.5 diesel. (I found it the other way round in the Clio.) But I have not driven the Stepway with either engine. I think same as the Sandero. A big benefit is that the water-cooled exhaust-driven turbo also heats the car up very quickly in winter.
